Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Allergic bowel syndrome is a type of enteritis. This disease mainly causes constipation, prolonged diarrhea, and even alternating symptoms of constipation and diarrhea. During the course of the disease, it is mainly accompanied by abdominal pain, bloating, and obvious indigestion. The patient's dietary taboos are to keep it light and eat more foods that are conducive to digestion and promote absorption.

Allergic colitis is a syndrome characterized by constipation, diarrhea, or alternating constipation and diarrhea, that is, abnormal bowel movements and associated abdominal pain, bloating, etc.

It is one of the most common digestive system diseases and a gastrointestinal dysfunction disease. Its onset is related to mental, psychological, dietary, environmental and other factors.

This disease is more common in young people, and more common in women than in men. The main manifestations are abdominal pain, abdominal distension, diarrhea, constipation, mucous stools, etc., with abdominal pain and chronic diarrhea being the most common manifestations.

The abdominal pain is mainly in the left lower abdomen and lower abdomen, with varying degrees of severity, and can be relieved after defecation or passing gas. The frequency of bowel movements increases, to 2 to 6 times a day or more, and the stools are mostly mushy or loose, but without blood. Some patients defecate once every 4 to 7 days, with dry and hard stools and difficulty in defecation.

In addition, there may be upper gastrointestinal symptoms such as upper abdominal discomfort, belching, acid reflux, heartburn, etc. Many patients also have symptoms of autonomic nervous system dysfunction such as fatigue, weight loss, insomnia, anxiety, dizziness, and headache.

Since this is a functional disease, there has been no effective treatment in the past.

Doctors mainly use diet therapy, physical exercise, psychotherapy or some symptomatic drugs, including Western medicine treatment mainly using antibiotics, and Chinese herbal medicine such as "Xiaoling Qingchang Fang".
