Causes of diarrhea

Causes of diarrhea

I believe that all of you must have encountered diarrhea in your daily life. If the diarrhea symptoms are not very serious, it may occur two or three times a day. However, if the diarrhea is more serious, you may have to go to the toilet several times in the morning. In the face of this situation, active treatment is the only way to avoid more serious damage to your body caused by diarrhea.

However, before treating diarrhea, you must first understand why you have diarrhea. Only by understanding the cause of diarrhea can you carry out targeted treatment and ensure that you can stop diarrhea immediately after treatment. The more common causes of diarrhea are:

Non-infectious factors are mainly manifested in the following four aspects:

(1) Improper diet: Eating too much, too oily, or too cold food, frequently changing to new food, or eating spoiled food contaminated with bacteria or toxins can easily cause diarrhea in children.

(2) Adverse stimulation: Cold, overheating, bad mood, excessive stress or fright can also cause diarrhea.

(3) Allergic diarrhea: Diarrhea caused by eating foods that are prone to cause allergies.

(4) Others: such as nonspecific ulcerative colitis, glycogen diarrhea, etc.

Infectious factors include intestinal and extraintestinal infections.

Intestinal infections are:

1. Bacterial infection: mainly Escherichia coli and Shigella dysenteriae. This is often caused by milk contamination, milk not being boiled, or milk utensils (such as bottles and nipples) not being cleaned and boiled every time.

2. Viral infections: common rotavirus, respiratory enterovirus infections, etc. Extraintestinal infections, such as upper respiratory tract infection, otitis media, pneumonia, etc. There is often a clear primary lesion. In short, diarrheal disease is a syndrome caused by multiple reasons.

This article provides a detailed introduction to the causes of diarrhea. If your baby has diarrhea, it is recommended that mothers take their babies for treatment in time, because diarrhea will cause the baby's nutrients to be unable to be absorbed normally, which will have a serious impact on the baby's physical health and growth.
