Because it is wrapped by the cyst wall, the edges are smooth and neat, with little adhesion to the surrounding tissues, so it feels smooth, elastic and cystic to the touch. The surface skin is mostly free of inflammation and has normal skin color. Generally, the development is limited and localized and will not expand indefinitely to cause local compression symptoms.

Cysts are a type of disease that is common in women of any age. The cause of primary cysts is unknown; secondary cysts often occur in epidermolysis macrostomia, congenital ectodermal defect, and tarda cutanea after dermabrasion. Primary skin lesions often occur on the eyelids and cheekbones; secondary lesions often occur on the auricle, back of hands, and forearms. It is the size of a millet grain and is hard in texture. When it is broken, white sebum-like substance can be seen.
