What are the side effects of morphine?

1. Central nervous system: ① Occasionally headache, dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, nervousness, etc.; ② Extrapyramidal symptoms: Domperidone rarely causes central nervous system symptoms at commonly used doses, and there are rare reports of dystonic reactions; ③ There are reports abroad that large doses of intravenous domperidone can cause epileptic seizures, but this preparation is not available in China.

2. Endocrine/metabolic system: This drug is a powerful prolactin-releasing drug. Using a larger dose can cause non-lactation lactation and breast tenderness in some post-menopausal women and male patients. There are also reports of causing menstrual disorders.

3. Digestive system: Occasionally dry mouth, constipation, diarrhea, short-term abdominal cramping pain, etc.

4. Cardiovascular system: Foreign reports have shown that intravenous injection of this drug may cause arrhythmia.

5. Skin: Occasionally transient rash or itching may occur.

Precautions when taking Metoclopramide

1. The possibility of adverse central nervous system reactions cannot be completely ruled out in children under 1 year old, so use with caution.

2. Although animal experiments have not found that this drug has teratogenic effects and placental toxicity, pregnant women should weigh the pros and cons when using it. Use with caution.

3. During medication, serum prolactin levels may increase, but will return to normal after stopping the medication.

4. When this drug is used by patients with heart disease (arrhythmia), hypokalemia, or cancer patients receiving chemotherapy, heart rhythm disorders may be aggravated.

5. People who are allergic to this product are forbidden to use.

6. It is contraindicated for patients with pheochromocytoma, breast cancer, mechanical intestinal obstruction, gastrointestinal bleeding, etc.

7. Patients with heart disease (arrhythmia) and cancer patients receiving chemotherapy should use this drug with caution as it may aggravate heart rhythm disorders. 8. This product contains lactose and may not be suitable for patients with lactose intolerance, galactosemia or glucose/galactose malabsorption.

9. Neurological side effects in infants and young children are very rare. Because the metabolism and blood-brain barrier functions of infants and young children are not fully developed, the incidence of neurological side effects is higher than that of children. Therefore, it is recommended that the dosage for newborns, infants and children should be accurately formulated and strictly followed. Drug overdose may cause neurological side effects, but other causes should also be considered. It is recommended that children use domperidone suspension.

10. When antacids or drugs that inhibit gastric acid secretion are used together with this product, the first two types of drugs cannot be taken before meals but should be taken after meals, that is, they should not be taken at the same time as this product.

11. Since domperidone is mainly metabolized in the liver, it should be used with caution in patients with liver damage.

12. The elimination half-life of domperidone in patients with severe renal insufficiency (serum creatinine > 6 mg/100 ml, i.e. 0.6 mmol/l) increases from 7.4 hours to 20.8 hours, but the blood concentration is lower than that in healthy volunteers. Since very little unchanged drug is excreted through the kidneys, patients with renal insufficiency may not need to adjust the dose after a single dose. However, if repeated dosing is required, the frequency of medication should be reduced to 1-2 times a day and the dose should be reduced as appropriate depending on the severity of the renal impairment.

13. If you overdose or experience serious adverse reactions, please seek medical attention immediately.

14. It is prohibited to use the drug when its properties change.

15. Please keep this medicine out of reach of children.

16. Use in pregnant and lactating women Pregnant women: There is limited experience in using this drug in pregnant women. In a study in rats, domperidone showed reproductive toxicity at doses higher than those that were maternally toxic (40 times the recommended human dose). However, its potential harm to humans is still unclear. Therefore, for pregnant women, this product should be used with caution only after weighing the pros and cons.

Now everyone should understand the side effects of metoclopramide. You should not take such medicines in normal times. No matter what medicine it is, you should take less of it in normal times. If you are sick, try not to take medicine. Sometimes the disease is cured, but the body is harmed by the medicine. We should exercise more and strengthen our physical fitness in normal times.
