Tingli Dazao Xiefei Decoction

1. Qianjin Fang Yanyi: "When lung abscess has formed, vomiting is like rice porridge, and the turbid dirt blocks the way of clear air, so the patient cannot sleep due to wheezing, and the nose is blocked and cannot smell fragrance or odor. Therefore, using scutellaria baicalensis to break water and drain the lungs, and using jujube to protect the spleen and promote fluid, is a method to drain the lungs without hurting the spleen, and to preserve the mother qi as the basis for the future growth of the lung lobes. However, for those with weak lungs and stomach, it is not easy to try scutellaria baicalensis, so it must be used with caution.

2. "Shanbu Mingyi Fanglun" (Shanbu Mingyi Fanglun): For patients with lung abscess, shortness of breath and inability to lie down, and water and fluid attacking the lungs and causing rapid shortness of breath, the bitter herb of scutellaria is used alone in the prescription to first drain the water vapor in the lungs.
