What are the symptoms of facial folliculitis

Facial folliculitis is actually a skin disease, which is mainly caused by Staphylococcus aureus invading hair follicles, resulting in follicular inflammation. It often manifests as the appearance of large or small particles on the skin that are red or dark red, and symptoms of follicular papules.

1. Facial folliculitis is a subacute or chronic suppurative inflammation of the hair follicles and around the hair follicles caused by Staphylococcus aureus invading the hair follicles . Generally, facial folliculitis can be caused by unclean skin, scratching or reduced body resistance.

2. The initial symptoms of facial folliculitis are often scattered , the size of rice, bright red or dark red follicular papules. The center of the facial folliculitis symptoms runs through the hair, with an inflammatory red halo around the edge, which then quickly turns into pustules, but do not merge with each other. When the abscess ruptures or the hair inside it is pulled out, a small amount of pus and plasma may be discharged, but the local inflammation gradually subsides without leaving any scars.

3. Most symptoms of facial folliculitis appear in batches. Each lesion takes 5 to 7 days to be absorbed and healed, but new lesions continue to occur, so the course of the disease often lasts for weeks to months, and sometimes even longer.
