Precautions for arteriosclerosis

The incidence of arteriosclerosis in China and even in the world is increasing every year. Many people die from this disease every year, especially the elderly. So more and more people have begun to pay attention to this disease and have been looking for treatment and prevention methods for this disease. With the advancement of technology, the disease of arteriosclerosis has been controlled to a certain extent.

The prevention of arteriosclerosis should start from our daily life, because a large part of the cause of this disease is caused by bad eating habits, so we should pay more attention to our diet. For example, try not to eat too much food that is high in sugar or fat.

1. Arteriosclerosis is a non-inflammatory disease of the arteries that can cause the arterial walls to thicken and harden, lose elasticity, and narrow the lumen. There are three main types of atherosclerosis:

(1) Arteriosclerosis

(2) Medial atherosclerosis

(3) Atherosclerosis.

Arteriosclerosis is a disease of small arteries that mainly occurs in patients with hypertension. Atherosclerosis is a disease of medium-sized arteries that often does not cause obvious symptoms and is not very harmful to people. Atherosclerosis is the accumulation of lipids such as cholesterol in the inner wall of the arteries, which looks like yellow porridge, hence the name atherosclerosis. Therefore, it is not appropriate to simply refer to atherosclerosis as arteriosclerosis.

Since atherosclerosis is very harmful to humans, it will be introduced in detail here. This disease is more common in the elderly, most of whom are over 40 years old (women mostly after the menstrual period). But middle-aged and even young people can also get the disease. Males are more likely to be affected than females, and their condition is more severe. Urban residents, people engaged in strenuous mental work, obese people, smokers, patients with hypertension, diabetes and hyperlipidemia are prone to this disease. In recent years, the incidence of this disease has gradually increased in my country and has become one of the main causes of death among the elderly. The etiology of this disease is multifaceted, among which the main factors are lipid metabolism disorders, hemodynamic changes, and changes in the arterial wall itself. This disease is more likely to occur in patients with hyperlipidemia (mainly increased levels of cholesterol, triglycerides and lipoprotein in the blood). The cause of increased blood lipids may be eating too much animal fat food such as lard, fatty meat, liver, kidney and other offal, egg yolk, cream, etc. It may also be caused by abnormal lipid metabolism in patients with liver or kidney disease, diabetes, or hypothyroidism, leading to increased blood lipids. When the pressure in the arteries increases, the long-term impact of high-pressure blood flow on the arterial wall causes mechanical damage to the arterial intima, making it easy for blood lipids to deposit on the arterial wall. Therefore, patients with hypertension are prone to atherosclerosis. Smoking causes long-term spasm of blood vessels, leading to malnutrition of the arterial walls and making it easy for lipids to deposit on the arterial walls. The metabolic regulation of the arterial wall in the elderly can make it easy for lipids to deposit on the arterial wall and cause atherosclerosis.

This disease mainly affects the aorta, coronary arteries, cerebral arteries and renal arteries, which can cause narrowing or even occlusion of the lumen of the above arteries; causing blood supply obstruction to the organs they supply, leading to ischemic pathological changes in these organs. For example, coronary artery atherosclerosis can cause angina pectoris and myocardial infarction; cerebral artery atherosclerosis can cause cerebrovascular accident and brain atrophy; renal artery atherosclerosis can cause refractory hypertension; lower limb artery atherosclerosis can cause lower limb necrosis or lower limb pain after walking too much, so you are forced to stop and walk.

Finally, I would like to tell you that lack of exercise can easily lead to disease such as arteriosclerosis. Therefore, everyone should remember to exercise regularly and drink plenty of water in their daily lives. Soaking your feet in warm water and massaging them properly before going to bed every day can also help prevent arteriosclerosis. Your body is your own, and the quality of your body depends entirely on how you treat yourself.
