Traditional Chinese medicine teaches you to identify the health of the five internal organs by listening to sounds!

Chinese medicine emphasizes observation, smell, questioning and palpation when treating patients. Smelling not only refers to smelling odors, but also includes listening to sounds. The "Yellow Emperor's Internal Classic" proposes that breathing, laughing, singing, crying and groaning are the five sounds, which correspond to the five internal organs of liver, heart, spleen, lung and kidney respectively. If you listen carefully to the five sounds, you can roughly understand the condition of the five internal organs. It can be said that the five sounds are a window into the health of the organs.

Being angry and shouting is a sign of excessive liver fire. The liver, in terms of will, represents anger, and in terms of voice, represents shouting. If a person loses his temper easily and shouts loudly, it may be that there is a problem with the liver. Generally, it is because the liver fire is too strong. You can eat some cold foods that help clear the fire. Chrysanthemum tea, shepherd's purse, and loofah are all beneficial for soothing the liver and detoxifying.

People who are accustomed to "sighing" may have liver qi stagnation. Bupleurum, mint, and perilla leaves can relieve liver depression and prevent qi stagnation. The "Six-Character Secret" of the breathing method for health preservation mentions that frequently making the "hush" sound has a health-preserving effect on liver fire, liver deficiency, and eye diseases. If someone is about to get angry, reciting the word "hush" several times can help him regulate his emotions and maintain inner peace to avoid damaging the liver due to anger.

The maniacal laughter indicates a mental illness. The heart, in its will, is joy, and in its voice, is laughter. People who are full of energy love to laugh, and their laughter sounds hearty. Moderate laughter can relieve the energy of the heart. If a person often laughs uncontrollably for unknown reasons, there may be something wrong with his heart. At the same time, too much and excessive laughter can deplete your heart's energy. If you laugh for a while longer or talk more, you will feel anxious and not have enough energy. It is mostly due to weak heart qi. You should pay attention to maintaining your heart qi. The key to nourishing the heart is to learn to slow down your life. Working hours are particularly tight, so you should deliberately slow down your pace after get off work. In terms of dietary supplements, longan, lotus seeds, lily, and black fungus can all benefit the heart qi and nourish the heart yin. In the Six-Character Formula, frequently reading the sound of "ha" can replenish heart energy and is also beneficial for treating palpitations, insomnia, and forgetfulness. You can eat some dried hawthorn when you are feeling moody. Sour things have an astringent effect, which can prevent the heart qi from being too dispersed, protect the heart, and relieve liver and depression, calming the mood.

I don't have the confidence to sing because of my weak spleen. The spleen is responsible for thinking in terms of will and singing in terms of voice. Therefore, if a person has a loud singing voice, his spleen should be healthier. On the contrary, if a person has spleen and stomach disease, his voice will be low and lack confidence when he sings. In life, irregular eating habits can disrupt your temper. The key period for nourishing the spleen is in the long summer (early July to early August). It can be nourished by combining methods such as strengthening the spleen, dispelling heat and eliminating dampness. You can eat mung beans, lotus seeds, loofah, tangerine peel, duck meat, crucian carp, etc. In the Six-Character Formula, frequently reading the sound of the word "Hu" can cultivate the temper, and is beneficial for spleen deficiency, abdominal bloating, spleen and stomach disharmony, and loss of appetite.

Crying endlessly will weaken your lungs. The lungs, in terms of mind, represent worry, and in terms of voice, represent crying. Similar to the spleen, if a person cries loudly, it means that the lung qi is strong. On the contrary, if you always cry in a very low voice, it may be a sign of weak lung qi, such as Lin Daiyu in "Dream of Red Mansions". In addition, even though crying can vent emotions, you should not cry too often. Crying with tears and snot will hurt the lung qi, crying until you are sweating all over will affect your heart qi, and even shedding tears itself will affect your liver qi. The first thing to do to nourish your lungs is to keep a cheerful mood and not be as sad as Lin Daiyu. In addition, chewing 1 to 2 walnut kernels and 2 slices of ginger carefully every morning and evening can also nourish the lung qi. In the Six-Character Formula, frequently reading the sound of the word "four" can help treat symptoms such as colds, fever and cough, rapid breathing and shortness of breath.

Always complaining about kidney problems. The kidney, in terms of will, represents fear, and in terms of sound, represents groaning. If a person is always groaning, it may be that there is something wrong with his kidneys. Since vital energy is stored in the kidneys, the person's overall health will not be very good. However, when a person groans in extreme pain or happiness, it is a sign that the body is regulating its vital energy. To nourish the kidneys, you need to pay attention to the maintenance of your waist. Sitting for a long time will hurt the flesh. Office workers should move around frequently, stretch, and rub their waist and back, all of which will help nourish the kidneys. Foods that nourish the kidneys include lamb, leek, longan, yam, etc. In the Six-Character Formula, frequently reciting the sound of the word "blow" can relieve symptoms such as weakness in the waist and legs, hot flashes, night sweats, dizziness, tinnitus, impotence and premature ejaculation.
