11) "Bencao Zaixin" (New Compendium of Materia Medica): "It regulates stomach qi, clears stomach fire, eliminates thirst, treats deficiency-heat in the kidney meridian, calms the mind and relieves convulsions, and relieves night sweats. It can also relieve heat."
