What to do if frostbite itches

What to do if frostbite itches

The winter temperature in my country is relatively low, especially in the northern region. The temperature is mostly below zero in winter. If you do not pay attention to keeping warm at this time, you are likely to get frostbite. Not to mention the northern region, even in the southern region, there are many people suffering from frostbite. Many students from the north go to college in the south, and due to the lack of heating equipment, there are also many people suffering from frostbite. Frostbite not only affects the appearance, but also causes frequent itching.

If you get frostbite on your hands, you can scratch it with your hands, but if you get frostbite on your feet, you don’t know what to do. Once you are in a warm environment, the frostbite on your feet will itch. So, what should you do at this time? Let’s take a look at the solution below.

1. Take an appropriate amount of fresh sesame leaves, place them on the frostbitten areas, rub them back and forth with your hands for about 20 minutes, let the juice remain on the skin, and wash it off after 1 hour. Do this once a day for 1 week.

2. When eating watermelon, leave the watermelon rind thicker, so that it is white with a slightly reddish color. Use it to gently rub the areas where frostbite has occurred, for 3 minutes each time, once a day, for 1 week.

3. Remove the seeds and chop 10 grams of red pepper, soak it in 60 ml of white wine for 7 days, then add 3 grams of camphor and shake well. When using, use a sterilized cotton swab dipped in the liquid and apply it to the areas with frostbite, twice a day for 1 week.

4. Mash 60 grams of ginger, add 100 ml of white wine, and soak for 3 days. When using, dip a sterilized cotton swab in the solution and apply it to the frostbitten areas, twice a day for one week.

5. Take 60 grams of white eggplant root and 10 grams of Sichuan pepper, decoct in water, and use to fumigate the areas prone to frostbite, once a day, each time for 10-30 minutes, 1 dose per day, for 1 week. Any one of the above methods can be used to effectively treat frostbite itching for 5-7 consecutive days.

6. Temperature difference water soaking method: Take a basin of 15℃ water and a basin of 45℃ water, soak your hands and feet in the low-temperature water for 5 minutes, and then soak them in the high-temperature water. Do this 3 times a day. It can exercise the contraction and expansion function of blood vessels and reduce the occurrence of frostbite.

In addition to the above methods, we can also use beer to soak our feet. Beer contains B1 and B6 that can fight dermatitis and neuritis. Add an appropriate amount of beer to warm water when soaking your feet, and then appropriately extend the soaking time to effectively relieve the pain caused by frostbite itching. In addition, applying cooling oil on frostbite can also have an itchy effect.
