How to treat gastrointestinal disorders?

Gastrointestinal dysfunction is one of the symptoms of stomach diseases. Nowadays, more and more people do not pay attention to their own bodies and often have irregular diets due to some external factors, which will lead to stomach diseases over time. Gastrointestinal dysfunction is also called gastrointestinal neurosis. There are many triggering factors, such as anxiety, tension, unsatisfactory study and life, worries, work pressure, etc., which may affect the gastrointestinal function. At this time, we must choose the correct treatment method. The most important thing is to pay attention to eating habits.

1. General treatment

(1) Traditional treatment mainly includes diet therapy, nutritional support therapy, sedatives, hypnotics, antispasmodics and analgesics. Doctors can use intestinal regulating, stomach regulating and tranquilizing agents, oryzanol, digestive enzymes, vitamin B1, metoclopramide and other treatments according to the patient's condition. For patients with obvious mental symptoms, anti-anxiety or antidepressant drugs are given to relieve psychological barriers.

(2) It is important to adopt psychological treatment, whose methods generally include explanation, comfort, guidance, analysis, understanding, positive suggestion and emotional transfer, so that patients can truly understand their condition, actively regulate their emotions, eliminate mental concerns, and increase their confidence in the cure of the disease.

2. Medication

Regulate nerve function and improve sleep. Depending on the condition of the disease, the following drugs and methods can be used.

(1) Sedatives: chlorpromazine, diazepam, chlorpromazine, phenobarbital, meprobamate or oryzanol, etc.

(2) Antispasmodic and analgesic: Anticholine drugs can relax smooth muscles and have antispasmodic and analgesic effects; such as belladonna preparations, atropine, propantheline, etc.

(3) Nervous vomiting: Vitamin B6 can be used. If vomiting is severe, give metoprolol, promethazine, morphine, etc. as appropriate.

(4) Enteric neurosis: Constipation can be treated with lubricants such as paraffin oil, magnesium oxide, antalol and plant mucus substances. Diarrhea can be treated with compound phenoxylate or 0.25% novocaine enema once a day, or Imodium.

3. Diet therapy

(1) Eat more fruits to balance digestion: Eating too much sweets can easily cause symptoms such as chest tightness, diarrhea, sluggish appetite, cold hands and feet, and the tongue coating can easily turn white. Eating more apples and guavas can slowly alleviate these symptoms. Eating a proper amount of guava or drinking half a cup of guava juice can effectively control diarrhea. Eating apples with the skin also has an antidiarrheal effect.

(2) Green vegetables to supplement fiber: It is best to slowly adjust the three meals a day to a vegetarian diet. Vegetables are a must for breakfast. Fresh vegetables such as lettuce, mustard greens, carrots, celery, etc. are best eaten as staple foods. These vegetables are rich in chlorophyll, carotene, vitamins, and fiber. They can achieve a nutritional balance with a large amount of meat, fish, and eggs, and also have the significance of regulating the stomach. It is best not to cut the vegetables. You must chew them thoroughly before swallowing them. This will allow saliva to be secreted naturally to aid digestion.

Every meal contains greasy food, so most people have too high fat intake. Take two or three days to reduce the intake of refined rice, noodles, candy, and sweet cakes, and force yourself to drink more water, especially boiled water. This can speed up gastrointestinal metabolism and reduce the harm of large amounts of meat and alcohol to the liver. If you think boiled water has no taste, drinking tea can also clear out the grease in the gastrointestinal tract and restore the gastrointestinal tract to normal levels as soon as possible.
