Is TCM really effective in treating high blood pressure?

For some diseases, Western medicine treatments are more effective quickly, and Western medicine drugs are more targeted, so most people will use Western medicine to treat general diseases. However, Western medicine also has its disadvantages. If the effect of the drug is too strong, it may cause some side effects. For diseases like hypertension, Western medicine is not as effective as traditional Chinese medicine.

The TCM treatment of hypertension is to improve kidney function (hardening of blood vessels), strengthen liver function (thicker blood lipids), perform targeted bone correction to reposition cervical compression points (compression of blood circulation), and regulate heart function (restoration of heart rate) to achieve a cure. Secondary cases are mostly caused by cervical spine compression. As long as the compression point is accurately reset, the blood pressure will gradually stabilize.

1. Foot massage: Chinese medicine meridian theory points out that the soles of the feet are the location of the Yongquan point of the kidney meridian, and the palms are the location of the Laogong point of the pericardium meridian. Frequently rubbing the soles of the feet with the palms can strengthen the kidneys, regulate qi, improve intelligence, and connect the heart and kidneys, so that water and fire can complement each other and the heart and kidneys can communicate. It can prevent and treat insomnia and nightmares, and it also has a good effect on hypertension.

2. Qigong therapy for gypsum antihypertensive pillow: generally adopt internal nourishment and tranquility method, which can be performed in sitting or standing position. The sitting posture is to sit on a chair, with legs apart and naturally stepping on the ground, hands placed on thighs with palms facing down, whole body relaxed, mind calm, eliminate distracting thoughts, focus on Dantian, lips lightly closed, eyes slightly closed, and adjust breathing through the nose. The standing posture is to stand naturally with feet at shoulder level, knees slightly bent, hold the ball in both hands in front of the body, relax the whole body, focus on Dantian, and adjust your breathing. 10 to 30 minutes each time, 1 to 2 times a day.

3. Head massage: Combing the hair can promote blood circulation in the head, dredge the meridians, promote the flow of qi and blood, regulate the brain nerves, stimulate the secretion of subcutaneous glands, increase blood flow to the hair roots, slow down the premature aging of hair, and help remove dandruff and oil; Push the hair, place the palms of both hands apart from each other on the hairline above the ears, with the index finger in front and the thumb behind, push from the hairline above the ears to the top of the head, and lift the hair when the palms of both hands meet on the top of the head. Repeat pushing the hair 10 times, using a little force during the operation. Massage from the forehead to the brain with both palms like combing your hair. When you reach the back of the neck, cross your fingers and use the base of your palms to squeeze the back of the neck to lower blood pressure.

Hypertension is the most common disease, especially among older people, the chance of developing this disease is very high. Therefore, it is recommended that older patients with hypertension must adopt traditional Chinese medicine treatment methods. For example, Traditional Chinese Medicine has been developed for many years, and its medicines are mainly used to regulate the body to fight diseases and will not cause harm to your health.
