What is the Chinese medicine treatment method for cervical spondylosis?

Nowadays, the emergence of high technology has liberated people's hands. At work, people only need to sit down and operate the computer a few times to complete their work. Although this way of working makes people more relaxed, it also brings a problem, which is sitting for a long time. You know, sitting for a long time every day can easily cause people to suffer from cervical spondylosis, which is difficult to treat once you have it. So, what are the traditional Chinese medicine treatments for cervical spondylosis?

Acupuncture therapy

Acupuncture therapy has the effects of warming the meridians and dredge collaterals, promoting Qi and blood circulation, dispelling cold and relieving pain. It has a good effect on numbness and pain in the neck, shoulders and upper limbs caused by cervical spondylosis. There are many kinds of acupuncture therapies for treating cervical spondylosis in my country: there are acupoint stimulation methods, such as electroacupuncture, warm needle, moxibustion with medicated cakes, bamboo cupping, acupoint laser irradiation, acupoint injection, magnetic needle, beryllium needle, etc., which are all used in the treatment of this disease. Foreign acupuncture practitioners mostly use filiform needles or electroacupuncture for treatment, and Japanese scholars also use moxibustion through ginger. According to statistics from home and abroad, the effectiveness of acupuncture for cervical spondylosis is around 90%.

Cupping therapy

Cupping therapy is a treatment method in which porcelain jars, glass jars, bamboo jars, etc. of different calibers are used. Through burning, steaming or vacuuming, negative pressure is formed inside the cups, and suction is applied to the skin of the neck, shoulders, back and limbs. By stimulating the skin, it improves the circulation of Qi and blood in the meridians, collaterals and tendons, and has the effect of promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis, relieving spasms and relieving pain, and has a significant effect in relieving pain.

Cupping:

The flash fire method is the most commonly used method. It consumes part of the oxygen in the cup during combustion, and uses the heat of the flame to expand the gas in the cup and expel part of the air in the cup, making the air pressure in the cup lower than the outside atmospheric pressure, thereby adsorbing the cup to the skin of the treatment area. The suction force of cupping is related to factors such as the size and depth of the cup, the temperature and method of the fire in the cup, the timing and speed of cupping, and the amount of air that enters the cup during cupping.

Water pitcher method:

Generally, a bamboo cup is selected and water is added to the pot to boil. When using it, the bottom of the bamboo cup is clamped with oval pliers, the boiling water in the cup is shaken off, and a wet towel is used to tightly cover the mouth of the cup. Then, it is placed on the treatment area while it is hot so that it can be absorbed. This method is suitable for cupping any part of the body. It has a small suction force and needs to be operated quickly.

Air extraction method:

First, place the prepared vacuum cup tightly on the part to be cupped, and use a vacuum pump to extract the air in the cup to create the required negative pressure, which will allow it to absorb. This method is suitable for cupping on any part of the body.

Three massage therapies

Massage is an important part of traditional Chinese medicine. Diseases are not treated by medication or injections, but by the doctor's hands and simple instruments applying different techniques to certain parts or acupoints of the patient's body along the meridian routes and the direction of qi and blood flow to achieve the purpose of treating the disease. Because massage is less painful, simple and easy to perform, and sometimes the effect can be achieved immediately, it is very popular among patients.

If you don’t like any of the above methods, there is another more convenient method, which is to use Chinese medicine for hot compress. Put some Chinese herbal medicine for treating cervical spondylosis in a gauze bag and then sew the package. Then boil it in water and apply it to your neck immediately. This can also be a good way to treat cervical spondylosis.
