What causes dark lines on nails?

Normal people's nails look very smooth and beautiful. The white part appears at 1/5 of the nail, and the color looks pink. But if our nails have some dark lines or unevenness, it means that our body lacks trace elements. In the long run, it may cause some nail breakage. So what is the reason for the dark lines on the nails?

Nail breakage

1. Blackening of nails and broken spots under the nails indicate infection-induced myocarditis (serious heart infection), other heart diseases, and bleeding diseases.

2. Brittle nails may indicate iron deficiency, thyroid problems, impaired kidney function, or blood circulation problems.

3. Brittle, soft and easily worn nails indicate a lack of nutrition and may indicate hyperthyroidism.

4. Black nails and/or thin, flat, spoon-shaped nails are signs of vitamin B12 deficiency or anemia. (If your hands come into contact with detergents or allergens, your nails may also turn black or gray.)

5. Dark blue nails indicate lung obstruction, such as asthma or emphysema.

6. Inward-pointing nail tips indicate abnormalities in the heart, liver, or respiratory system.

7. In addition to local fungal infections, green nails can also indicate bacterial infections in the body.

8. Half-white nails with black spots on the fingertips may indicate kidney disease.

9. Isolated green streaks appearing on the nail bed, especially on fair skin, is a sign of skin cancer.

10. Beaded nails (uneven surface) are a sign of rheumatoid arthritis.

11. Nails that extend to the fingertips and curve downward are a sign of lung damage, such as emphysema and asbestosis.

12. Easy to break, crack, and peel off indicates malnutrition and lack of hydrochloric acid and protein. Minerals are also extremely deficient at this time.

13. A bulge at the base of the nail with a very small white part indicates respiratory diseases such as emphysema or chronic bronchitis. This symptom may be hereditary.

14. Separation of the nail from the nail bed suggests thyroid disease or localized infection.

15. A brass instrument that looks like a flattened nail indicates a tendency to lose some or all of the hair.

16. Reddish-brown acne scars and worn and split fingertips indicate psoriasis; you need to supplement with VC, folic acid and protein.

17. Redness of the skin around the nail beds may indicate essential fatty acid indigestion or a connective tissue disease, such as lupus.

1 8. Vertical or horizontal ridges appear on the nails. Erect ridges can indicate poor health, poor nutrient absorption, and/or iron deficiency, or kidney disease. Horizontal spine is caused by excessive mental or physical stress. Interlaced ridges on the nails indicate a tendency to develop arthritis.

19. Thick nails indicate poor circulatory system function, poor blood circulation, and thyroid disease.

20. Thinning nails may be a sign of lichen planus.
