What to do if the wound on the face becomes festering

The face is the most important part of our body, so we should take good care of it in daily life. Otherwise, it will cause great harm to the skin. First of all, if the wound on the face is infected with purulent infection, do not touch water during this period. According to the condition of the wound, use some medicines and tissue repair methods to treat it appropriately. Keeping the local area dry can promote scabbing and recovery.

Nursing Attention

Do not allow the wound to get wet during treatment. To prevent infection, generally speaking, the wound needs to be cleaned in the following situations:

1. Wound infection

2 Excessive exudate

3. Necrotic tissue (dry scab or rotten tissue fragments) and foreign matter

4To reduce wound contamination

When you decide to irrigate a wound, the irrigating fluid you choose must be harmless to the wound healing process. It has now been demonstrated that all surface disinfectants such as povidone-iodine and hydrogen peroxide have cytotoxic effects, so the use of topical antimicrobial drugs on wounds has been questioned. Currently, only water, normal saline (concentration 0.9%) and isotonic saline have been shown to have no effect on wounds. At the same time, the temperature of the flushing fluid needs to be kept close to normal body temperature. Because low temperature is not conducive to the division and proliferation of wound tissue cells. Generally speaking, if the local temperature of the wound drops by 2-3°C, it often takes 3-4 hours to return to the normal 37°C.

Dietary precautions for surgical incisions

Strengthen dietary nutrition, replenish protein, vitamin C, vitamin A, B2 and B6 and trace element zinc in time, eat more of the following foods on a daily basis: Vegetables: sea bass, pig's trotters, squab, tomatoes, bitter gourd, kelp, fungus, etc. Fruits: grapefruit, orange, strawberry, etc.

Avoid spicy foods such as leeks. In addition, smoking, bad mood, and lack of confidence will affect wound healing.
