What to do if the tooth root is festering

What to do if the tooth root is festering

Many people often feel particularly uncomfortable due to oral diseases. For example, a small toothache can make a person want to bang his head against the wall, not to mention the suppuration and infection of the tooth root, which will affect normal eating. Even the persistent pain will bother us. When these serious diseases occur, we must pay attention to keeping a light diet and avoid eating spicy and greasy foods.

Gingival suppuration occurs in carious teeth, which is probably caused by chronic apical periodontitis following necrosis of the dental nerve. The pus formed in the apical area is discharged from the gums to form fistulas, and the affected teeth generally experience pain and discomfort when biting. Teeth affected by apical periodontitis need to be drilled open, the root canals cleaned, and then sealed with medicine to reduce inflammation, so that the inflammation in the apical area can gradually subside. The fistula opening can also be rinsed and medicine applied. Root canal filling can only be performed after the fistula stops emitting pus and there is no obvious exudation or odor from the cotton pads sealed in the root canal.

The condition has not improved and we need to continue changing the dressings and reducing inflammation. X-ray examination can determine whether it is caused by caries of the affected tooth. The abscess may also be of periodontal origin and requires periodontal treatment.

When swollen and painful gums occur, we should go to the hospital in time for regular examination and treatment. There are many reasons for swollen and painful gums and suppuration, so we should find the specific cause before we can carry out more accurate treatment. We cannot take medicine blindly. Blind use of medicine will sometimes not only aggravate the disease but also cause problems in other parts of the body.

Note: During the treatment, you should eat a light diet, avoid spicy food, and keep your mouth clean.

It is not advisable to squeeze out pus by yourself, mainly because of the infection problem. Piercing the skin can easily cause skin infection. Moreover, the needles or other tools you use will have bacteria attached to them. If they are not disinfected properly, bacteria may enter the affected skin and cause serious infection.

What causes gingival suppuration?

Inflammation or suppuration of the gums may involve not only problems with the gums themselves, but may also be related to the tooth roots, teeth, etc. Inflammation of the gums and periodontal tissues is usually caused by inadequate cleaning of the teeth, which results in plaque and other problems, leading to inflammation and suppuration of the gums. Tooth decay can also cause inflammation and swelling of the tooth roots, and can also lead to suppuration of the gums. And tooth root fracture causing infection and inflammation. Common symptoms during the acute phase include redness, swelling, heat, pain, and even bleeding and foul odor. In the chronic stage, there will be some swelling, and it will be painful only after touching. What causes gingival suppuration?

Patients often have fever syndrome and symptoms of deficiency fire. People with this physique are often afraid of heat and prefer cold drinks. They are prone to mouth sores and bad breath. In addition, there is a tendency to be addicted to fried, barbecued, spicy and heavy-tasting irritating food. The food is too hot and allows the invasion of wind-heat evil toxins. The wind-heat evil toxins induce the accumulated heat in the spleen and stomach to rush upward through the meridians. The wind-heat and stomach fire combine to steam on the gums, causing rotten flesh to turn into pus.
