Check out the precautions for getting hepatitis A vaccine

The hepatitis A vaccine is to prevent these diseases, but there are many situations where the hepatitis A vaccine is not suitable, such as people who have already contracted hepatitis A, or have allergies, or people who are currently ill, have jaundice, or have eczema. They cannot be vaccinated.

1. Cannot be vaccinated:

Babies who have had or are highly suspected of having vaccination allergy.

2. Postponement of vaccination:

Currently ill, with fever, jaundice, perianal abscess, severe eczema, immunodeficiency or receiving immunosuppressive therapy, such as recent blood or blood product transfusion for AIDS. Severe congenital diseases such as delayed brain development.

3. Missed or delayed vaccination:

Start booster vaccination as early as possible to ensure that previous vaccinations are effective. Appropriately shorten the interval between two vaccinations and complete them as soon as possible. The two vaccinations must be separated by at least 28 days to ensure that the immune system has enough time to respond.

4. Contraindications of Hepatitis A Vaccination

After vaccination, the hepatitis A vaccine will produce hepatitis A antibodies, which can protect the baby from the disease and gain lasting immunity. Therefore, during the hepatitis A epidemic period, people who have contact with hepatitis A patients should also be vaccinated against hepatitis A. However, people with fever or severe heart disease, as well as people with kidney disease and severe hypertension should avoid the injection. Pregnant women or people with allergies should also avoid the injection.
