Fuzi Xiexin Decoction for Eliminating Heart-Subclavian Distension

There are five types of Xiexin Decoctions, namely, Pinellia Xiexin Decoction, Coptis chinensis Xiexin Decoction, Aconite Xiexin Decoction, Ginger Xiexin Decoction, and Licorice Xiexin Decoction. In order to compare and create inventions, Xuanfu Daizhe Decoction was listed afterwards. Xiexin Decoction is the main prescription for treating abdominal distension and abdominal pain. It is caused by the disharmony of gastrointestinal qi and the disorder of the ascending and descending mechanisms, which causes qi stagnation under the heart.

Therefore, it has symptoms such as vomiting and belching due to the failure of stomach qi to descend and diarrhea due to the failure of the temper to rise.

As for the heat evil gathering under the heart, and the heat and cold in the lower body causing the Wei Yang to be unable to replenish Qi and consolidate, resulting in chills and sweating, although it cannot be completely attributed to the imbalance of the gastrointestinal qi wheel, the qi wheel gathering under the heart and the disharmony of the stomach and wrist are one of them.

Therefore, among the five Xiexin Decoctions, only three, namely Banxia Xiexin Decoction, Jiangpian Xiexin Decoction, and Gancao Xiexin Decoction, can harmonize the yang and yin of the stomach and intestines and treat the distension under the heart.

For example, Huanglian Huanglian Xiexin Decoction and Fuzi Xiexin Decoction were originally formulated for the specific conditions of heat and cold. Although they have the syndrome of epigastric fullness, their syndrome differentiation and treatment should be discussed separately.

The syndrome of Xuanfu Daizhe Decoction is also accompanied by epigastric distension, which can be used as a similar syndrome of Xiexin Decoction, but the syndrome differentiation and treatment belongs to stomach deficiency and liver reversal.

And because phlegm and fluid are related, although there is the characteristic of belching that is difficult to eliminate, there is no vomiting or diarrhea. It is also different from the imbalance of gastrointestinal elevators, so they should not be confused.

Banxia Xiexin Decoction

1/2 liter of washed Pinellia ternata, 3 liang each of roasted Bupleurum, 1 liang of roasted Scutellaria baicalensis, 12 pieces of split red dates

Our prescription is Xiao Chaihu Decoction without the Scutellaria baicalensis and ginger slices, and with Scutellaria baicalensis and roasted ginger added.

Banxia Xiexin Decoction is one of the mediators. Its cause is that the central qi wheel is not functioning properly, the middle jiao is blocked, and the stomach qi does not descend, which is heat. Therefore, the slight coldness of qinlian is used to descend it.

The nature is cold because it does not rise, so the pungent heat of roasted ginger is used to warm it;

Phlegm and turbidity disturb the stomach, causing vomiting, so use Pinellia tuber to transform phlegm, reduce phlegm and stop vomiting;

The stomach and intestines are weak and cannot move around, so ginseng, grass and dates are used to replenish them.

This prescription clears the upper part and warms the lower part, has the bitter taste that descends and the pungent taste that ascends, and can eliminate phlegm and resolve abdominal distension. It is the main prescription for treating abdominal distension under the heart.

You Zaijing: "Pigment is full but not solid. If the pathogen is sunken, it cannot be discharged through sweating, and it is full but not solid, and it cannot be removed from below. Therefore, only the pungent taste of Pinellia and Paojiang can open the knot well.

The bitterness of Scutellaria baicalensis and Phellodendron chinense can relieve fullness. Although the effect of purging and dispersing is due to the ability of medicine, it is actually caused by the stomach qi.
