What are the obvious symptoms of gout patients in the late stage

Gout is a disease in which purine metabolism is increased, leading to obstruction of uric acid excretion or even elevated uric acid levels. The initial symptoms of gout patients include joint pain and so on. So what are the symptoms of gout patients in the late stage?

Symptoms of late stage gout are as follows:

It is understood that in the late stage of gout, the patient's joint deformities and dysfunctions become increasingly serious, the number of tophi increases, the size increases, and they are easily ruptured to discharge white urate crystals. Due to permanent joint deformities, daily study, work and life are affected, causing great physical and mental pain to patients.

Urate is continuously deposited in the kidneys, forming kidney stones. Clinical symptoms such as edema, oliguria, proteinuria, increased nocturia, hypertension, and anemia indicate that renal function is damaged and renal function is significantly reduced. If the disease progresses further, irreversible renal failure will occur and endanger life. We can use traditional Chinese medicine to treat the late stage. Yin deficiency of the liver and kidneys is caused by long-term illness that damages body fluids, resulting in a lack of yin fluid, which cannot nourish the liver and kidneys, and causes evil to reside in the tendons and bones. Symptoms include joint pain, recurring pain, prolonged pain, alternating mild and severe pain, or joint deformity, visible nodules, and difficulty in flexion and extension.

Accompanied by soreness of waist and knees, tinnitus, dry mouth, numbness of skin, fatigue, and flushed face. The tongue is dry and red, the tongue coating is thin and dry yellow, and the pulse is stringy or fine and rapid. The treatment should be to nourish the liver and kidney, dispel wind and dampness. The prescription is modified Duhuo Jishe Decoction, which includes Duhuo, Viscum album, White Peony Root, Rehmannia Glutinosa, Eucommia ulmoides, Achyranthes bidentata, Tortoise Shell, Turtle Shell, Cuscuta Seed, Ligustrum Lucidum Fruit, and Smilax glabra.
