What causes a red tongue with no coating? What does a normal tongue coating look like?

The tongue quality is the muscle and vascular tissue of the tongue, that is, the tongue body. The tongue coating is a thin layer of white moss-like substance attached to the surface of the tongue. The normal tongue should be soft, freely movable, and light red in color, with a thin layer of white fur on the surface with even particles and moderate dryness and wetness. So what is the reason for having no tongue coating?

The color of the tongue coating can reveal the disease

(1) Thick and white: constipation or gastrointestinal disease.

(2) Dark brown: Severe gastritis and tongue infection with Candida albicans.

(3) Black: Indicates extremely severe fever, usually caused by an overdose of antibiotics.

(4) Dry and flaky tongue coating: Lack of nutrition in the body.

(5) The tongue is smooth, bright red and has no coating: This indicates pernicious anemia.
