Cold health care

1. Indoor environment: Take different countermeasures according to the different causes of the cold.

Cold and qi deficiency cold: Keep warm and prevent cold. The room temperature can be slightly higher to achieve the purpose of "warming up the cold";

Wind-heat and cold due to yin deficiency: the room should be slightly cooler and the temperature should be kept appropriately to achieve the purpose of "cooling down the heat";

Summer-damp cold: Pay attention to indoor ventilation.

2. Work and rest: Severe patients should rest in bed. If you sweat too much after taking medicine, you should dry your body and change into dry clothes to avoid catching a cold. You can engage in appropriate activities after the fever subsides. At the same time, patients should ensure adequate rest and sleep to facilitate recovery from the disease.

3. Diet care:

Recommended food: ① Drink more water, with the total liquid intake per day between 2500 and 5000 ml, which helps to reduce fever, induce sweating and eliminate toxins. You can drink boiled water, light vegetable soup and fresh fruit juice, such as watermelon juice, pear juice, sugarcane juice, lotus root juice, etc. You can also drink porridge, egg soup, milk and soy milk. You should also eat more vegetables and fruits rich in vitamins.

② When you have a cold, you may have symptoms of gastrointestinal dysfunction such as abdominal distension, poor appetite, diarrhea, and constipation, so your diet should be simple and light. As side dishes, it is advisable to choose light foods such as various pickles, tofu, meat floss, etc.

Not to eat: ① Avoid greasy, fried, sticky, salty, spicy, hard and seafood food.

② In the early stage of a cold, you should avoid eating raw, cold, and greasy food. If it is a warm and hot evil, and it is in the initial stage of clearing, you should also avoid eating raw and cold food. Once the hot evil is not gone, high fever will remain, followed by thirst, irritability, and constipation. At this time, you need the help of fruits. You can frequently take pear juice, orange juice, watermelon, rice soup, mung bean soup, etc. Avoid eating too much raw, cold, and greasy food.

③ During a cold, avoid eating or eating too much duck meat, pork, mutton, dog meat, turtle, clams, vinegar, persimmon and other foods.
