There are many types of human physical constitutions. Some people have yin deficiency, some have yang deficiency, and some have qi deficiency. So what is the difference between people with qi deficiency and yang deficiency? Qi deficiency Qi deficiency is a term in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It refers to a series of pathological changes and symptoms caused by insufficient vital energy. The so-called Qi is the most basic substance in the human body. It is composed of the essence in the kidneys, the Qi of water and grain absorbed and transported by the spleen and stomach, and the fresh air inhaled by the lungs. Human life activities are fundamentally the movement of the rise and fall, entry and exit of vital energy. Qi deficiency is a common syndrome, which is mostly caused by congenital deficiency, malnutrition, old age, long-term illness, major surgery and excessive fatigue. In clinical practice, Qi deficiency also includes symptoms of lung Qi deficiency, heart Qi deficiency, spleen Qi deficiency, and kidney Qi deficiency. Yang deficiency Yang deficiency is a term in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Refers to the pathological phenomenon of Yang Qi deficiency. Yang Qi has the function of warming the limbs and internal organs. If Yang is deficient, the body's functions will be impaired and signs of deficiency and cold will easily appear. Common ones include stomach yang deficiency, spleen yang deficiency, kidney yang deficiency, etc. The main symptoms of yang deficiency are fear of cold, cold limbs, pale complexion, loose stools, clear and long urine, and a deep, weak pulse. What are the symptoms of Qi deficiency? Qi deficiency generally refers to physical weakness, pale complexion, shortness of breath, weakness in the limbs, dizziness, sweating when moving, and low voice. It includes the deficiency of Yuan Qi, Zong Qi and Wei Qi, as well as the decline of Qi's promotion, warming, defense, consolidation and Qi transformation functions, which leads to the decline or decline of certain functional activities of the body, decreased disease resistance and other weakening phenomena. What are the symptoms of Yang deficiency? 1. Fear of cold, cold limbs This is the most important symptom of yang deficiency. Yang Energy is like the sun in nature. If Yang Energy is insufficient, the internal environment will be in a "cold" state. 2. Undigested grains It refers to undigested food mixed in the stool. The ancients had a vivid metaphor to describe the occurrence of this phenomenon. The digestion of food is like cooking raw rice into cooked rice, the stomach is like the pot for cooking, and the yang energy is like the fire for cooking. Without "fire", rice cannot be cooked into "rice". Therefore, when the Yang Qi is insufficient, the food that enters the stomach cannot be well "roasted" (digested) and is directly discharged from the intestines. 3. Lack of energy When Yang Qi is insufficient, the vital activities of cells decline, resulting in lethargy and laziness. 4. Pale and fat tongue, or with teeth marks The consumption and metabolism of water in the body depends on the transpiration of Yang Qi. If the Yang Qi is weak and the water is insufficiently consumed by evaporation, excess water will accumulate in the body, causing an enlarged tongue. The tongue is enlarged and has tooth marks due to being squeezed by the teeth. 5. Deep and fine pulse The Yang Qi is insufficient to stimulate the arteries, so the pulse is deep, thin and weak. |
