Late symptoms of a cold

Late symptoms of a cold

Cold is one of the most common diseases in life. It has a certain time limit. Generally, through certain treatments and good conditioning, the cold will gradually improve in about a week. When the cold improves, the symptoms will also change. For example, the initial nasal discharge will gradually change from clear nasal discharge to yellow nasal discharge, and the high fever temperature will gradually decrease and finally return to normal.

Late symptoms of a cold

First: The nasal mucus will change from white to yellow, and then the body temperature will return to normal whether it is a high fever or a low fever. Second: Appetite begins to recover, and you will feel sleepy normally, but the symptoms of nasal congestion will be greatly alleviated after waking up. Third: The cough will be relieved. If there is phlegm when coughing, the previous yellow or white phlegm will change into something like saliva, or you may only feel that there is phlegm but not when coughing.

Note:

1. Supplement vitamin C to enhance resistance. Vitamin C can be obtained from pills or fresh fruits. The intake of vitamin C can play a great role in the body's speedy recovery. But be careful not to take too much vitamin C or for too long. 2. Increase air humidity. This can be done using a humidifier. If the environment is too dry, it will affect colds. Therefore, keeping the air fresh and making nasal breathing comfortable are helpful in treating colds. 3. Drink more warm water. Drinking more water can replenish the body's water. As long as your body does not feel uncomfortable, you can drink more water. Of course, friends with kidney disease must pay attention to follow the doctor's advice and drink water in moderation. Drinking plenty of water is the best auxiliary means to treat colds.

Eat more sour fruits when you have a cold

You can eat fruits when you have a cold, and sour fruits are especially recommended. Generally speaking, fruits with a sour taste tend to contain more vitamin C. For example, data from the "Chinese Food Composition Table" shows that 100 grams of sour jujube contains 900 mg of vitamin C, which is 9 times the daily amount recommended by the Chinese Nutrition Society. In addition, sour fruits such as hawthorn and sea buckthorn are also rich in vitamin C.

Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that enhances the body's resistance. Studies have shown that taking large doses of vitamin C after catching a cold can shorten the course of the cold and help you recover earlier. Pharmacological studies have confirmed that vitamin C has an antihistamine effect and is helpful in relieving discomfort such as nasal congestion.

Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin and will be excreted in the urine if taken in excess. Therefore, its toxicity is very low and it will not cause any side effects when consumed from fruits and vegetables. For the same variety of fruit, a sour taste may be caused by high caustic acid content and other reasons, and its vitamin C content is not necessarily higher than that of a sweet taste.
