Health preservation and wellness are particularly important in spring. When the seasons just change, the human body is not able to adapt and the throat is prone to dryness. Next, I will tell you how to make spring lung-moisturizing and cough-relieving tea.

1. Cough and phlegm relieving mulberry and apricot drink (sweet apricot)

Almonds are divided into two types: bitter and sweet. Bitter almonds are used as medicine. Bitter almonds are used to treat coughs caused by real symptoms, but they are poisonous and should not be eaten too much. Sweet almonds are larger and flatter than bitter almonds, are more nourishing, and are mostly used for coughs in the elderly.

Preparation: Roast the sweet almonds.

Usage: Chew 7 to 10 pills every morning and evening, or mash them with white sugar and drink with boiled water, twice a day.

Efficacy: Treats lung weakness, cough in the elderly, and dry cough without sputum.

2. Olive Bamboo Plum Tea

Ingredients: 5 salty olives, 5g each of bamboo leaves and green tea, 2 black plums, and 10g white sugar.

Preparation: Add water to the above 5 ingredients and boil them together to obtain the juice.

Usage: 2 doses per day, 1 cup of decoction per dose, drink warm.

Efficacy: Clears the lungs and moistens the throat.

3. Mulberry, apricot and ginseng tea

Ingredients: 10g mulberry leaves, 5g almonds, 5g adenophora, 3g elephant shell, 15g pear peel, 3g rock sugar.

Preparation: Add ingredients to water and boil.

Usage: Drink as tea frequently.

Efficacy: Suitable for those with dry cough without phlegm, or with little phlegm that sticks into threads and is difficult to cough out, due to wind-dryness damaging the lungs.

4. Autumn Pear Loquat Paste

Ingredients: 1000g snow pear, 30g each of coltsfoot, lily, ophiopogon japonicus and Fritillaria cirrhosa, 50g rock sugar and 200g honey.

Preparation: Chop the above medicines into pieces, add water and boil to get the thick juice, remove the residue, add pear, rock sugar and honey, and simmer over low heat until it becomes a paste.

Usage: Take 20g each time, twice a day, with warm water.

Efficacy: Suitable for people with lung yin deficiency who have dry cough with little sputum, or sputum with blood.

5. Lily and Winter Flower Drink

Ingredients: 30-60g lily, 10-15g coltsfoot, and appropriate amount of rock sugar.

Preparation: Put the two medicines in a casserole, add water and soak for half an hour, then boil twice over high heat and then over low heat, 20g each time; add rock sugar after the two juices are combined.

Usage: Drink water and eat lilies.

Efficacy: Suitable for autumn and winter coughs, dry and sore throat, and a little phlegm. It can be used as an auxiliary treatment for bronchitis and asthma.
