Women who feel pain in the lower abdomen should be alert to ovarian rupture

Ovarian rupture is a common disease in women. If our female friends experience lower abdominal pain, we need to be alert to whether their ovaries are ruptured. So what is ovarian rupture?

Ovarian rupture is a common disease in women of childbearing age. The disease is generally divided into two types: follicular rupture and corpus luteum rupture.

Ovarian corpus luteum rupture is dangerous. Most cases of ovarian corpus luteum rupture occur between the 20th and 26th days of the menstrual cycle, and lower abdominal pain may occur with varying degrees of severity. If the right ovary ruptures, it is close to the appendix, and the symptoms are similar to those of appendicitis, such as gradually increasing abdominal pain and refusal to press. It is often misdiagnosed as appendicitis, and some patients even have their abdominal cavity opened as if they had appendicitis.

Fortunately, these two parts are extremely close. When checking the appendix, blood can be detected in the abdominal cavity, enlarged ovaries can be detected, and bleeding cracks in the ovaries can be found. Ovarian repair surgery can be performed immediately, which generally will not delay the condition.

Before the corpus luteum of the ovary ruptures, the ovaries will experience congestion and swelling. Excessive abdominal fat, frequent vaginal douching, pelvic inflammation, etc. can all cause ovarian congestion. When the ovaries are affected by external or indirect external forces, especially during the period of congestion before menstruation, accidents can easily occur due to straining during bowel movements, nausea and vomiting, weight lifting, etc. It can also be triggered by sexual intercourse or strenuous activity.

It is best to go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment immediately after the occurrence of ovarian corpus luteum rupture. Do not abuse painkillers on your own to avoid masking symptoms, affecting normal diagnosis, and causing unexpected events.
