These are all danger signs of brain tumors, you need to know!

Unexplained headaches, nausea and vomiting, numbness and weakness of one side of the limbs, epilepsy occurring in adulthood, drunken gait, language disorders, when these symptoms appear, you must be vigilant. So what are the common warning signs of brain tumors?

Common warning signs of brain tumors

1. Headache, nausea, and vomiting

Headache: obvious in the morning and at night, bilateral temples or occipital area, initially paroxysmal and then continuous - intracranial pain structures are stimulated

Vomiting: Projectile vomiting, unrelated to eating (children beware!) - stimulation of the medullary vomiting center

2. Numbness and weakness on one side of the limbs (hemiplegia)

Excludes "hemiplegia" caused by stroke, weakness or paralysis of one side or a single limb, and paresthesia

3. Language barriers

Motor or sensory aphasia, alexia, agraphia, etc. Hearing clearly but unable to speak - this is the most common symptom of motor aphasia

4. Epileptic seizures: “epilepsy”

Generalized and localized seizures. It is related to the type and location of the brain tumor.

Generally speaking, tumors that grow in the front half of the brain, close to the cerebral cortex, are prone to epilepsy.

5. Intellectual deterioration and mental and personality changes

Slow reaction, especially recent memory loss, irritability or indifference, etc.

Experts tell you

● Brain tumors refer to tumors that occur in the cranial cavity. Common tumors include more than 20 types such as glioma, meningioma, pituitary tumor, and cranial neurothecoma.

● Brain tumors can be congenital, such as craniopharyngioma, and acquired, such as glioma. The occurrence of brain tumors may be related to family heredity, physical factors (such as radiation exposure), chemical factors (such as certain carcinogens), biological factors (such as certain viral infections), etc., and the specific cause is unclear.

● Common brain tumors are not contagious and generally cannot be spread from person to person.

● Compared with other malignant tumors such as lung cancer, the incidence of brain tumors is not the highest, but the mortality and disability rates are high!

● Common brain tumors may have some early symptoms. We should pay attention to these early signals and be vigilant about brain tumors. If you experience symptoms that may be related to a brain tumor, be sure to seek medical attention immediately!
