The baby has diarrhea but is in good spirits

Because babies' immune systems are not strong and their resistance is poor, they are often easily invaded by various bacteria and fungi, which affect their physical health. This is a great worry for many parents, but getting sick is always difficult to avoid. If a baby has diarrhea for some reason, he or she will generally show signs of poor appetite and lack of activity. However, sometimes, although the baby has diarrhea, his or her mental state is very good. What's going on? How to relieve diarrhea?

Factors that cause baby diarrhea:

1. Lactose intolerance: The main sugar in dairy products is lactose. It is digested by lactose digesting enzyme. Without this enzyme, lactose cannot be digested. Some babies lack lactase or have diarrhea that damages the intestinal mucosal cells, resulting in a decreased ability to secrete lactase, which is usually called "secondary lactose intolerance." In addition, congenital lactose intolerance means that the baby is born without lactase, and drinking breast milk or cow's milk can cause obvious diarrhea. Drinking milk can cause symptoms such as diarrhea and bloating, which is collectively called lactose intolerance.

2. Viral infections: Any number of viruses, such as rotavirus, adenovirus, calicivirus and astrovirus, as well as influenza, can cause symptoms such as diarrhea and vomiting, abdominal pain, fever, chills and pain.

3. Antibiotics: If your baby develops diarrhea during or after antibiotic treatment, it may be related to the drugs used. While the drug kills the pathogenic bacteria, it also kills the beneficial bacteria in the intestines. You should talk to your doctor about your condition to see if other medications and treatments can be used. However, you cannot stop taking the prescribed medication without the doctor's consent.

4. Infant diarrhea: If your baby has loose stools many times a day, and the stool may contain undigested food or mucus and have a foul smell, it may be infant diarrhea. There is no clear reason for this, other than it could be due to the addition of new foods or other dietary changes. Your baby will continue to gain weight, grow and develop normally, and will soon outgrow this condition as he or she grows older.

What to eat when your baby has diarrhea:

1. Boiled apples: Boiled apples have an astringent effect. Giving your baby one apple a day can help relieve diarrhea. When cooking apples, you should cook them in water or add some rock sugar, so that babies will like them more.

2. Soft noodles: When the baby's diarrhea condition improves, you can cook some soft noodles for the baby and add some vegetables appropriately. This can further supplement the baby's nutrition and make it easier for the baby to digest.

3. Scorched rice soup: first grind the rice flour or milk cake into powder, fry until it turns yellow, then add appropriate amount of water and sugar, and then cook it into a paste. When rice noodles are added with water and then heated, its carbonized structure has a better adsorption and antidiarrheal effect.

4. Carrot soup: Carrot is an alkaline food. The pectin it contains can promote stool formation and absorb bacteria and toxins on the intestinal mucosa. It is a good antidiarrheal food.

5. Porridge: When your baby has diarrhea, give him more porridge, which is easy to digest and nutritious. Don't feed your baby hard food when he has diarrhea. It is better to cook the porridge until it is softer.

6. Chestnut paste meal: Use 3-5 chestnuts, peel and mash them, add water and cook into a paste, add sugar to taste and eat 2-3 times a day. It has the effect of warming the middle and stopping diarrhea. In addition, orange and jujube tea, carrot soup, etc. have the effects of strengthening the spleen and stopping diarrhea. ...
