Pharyngitis is an inflammation of the throat caused by bacterial or viral infection. Pharyngitis is contagious to a certain extent. The main transmission routes of pharyngitis are droplets, food and close contact. Therefore, we must pay attention to the treatment of pharyngitis in our daily life to avoid the spread of pharyngitis. 1. Symptoms of pharyngitis1: Acute pharyngitis first causes discomfort or burning sensation in the throat, which gradually develops into pain and worsens when swallowing. Symptoms throughout the body may include headache, loss of appetite, fever, etc. The pharyngeal mucosa is diffusely congested and swollen, the pharyngeal palatine arch and uvula may be edematous, the lymph follicles on the posterior pharyngeal wall are red and swollen, and in cases of suppuration, small yellow-white dots appear in the center of the follicles. Mandibular lymph nodes are swollen and tender. Children occasionally develop herpetic pharyngitis, with herpes appearing on the soft palate and palatal arch. Initially, they are small yellow blisters, which become erosive surfaces after rupture. 2: Chronic pharyngitis causes discomfort or foreign body sensation in the throat, dryness, itching, burning sensation, slight pain, phlegm in the throat, etc., but does not affect eating. The feeling of foreign body obstruction is obvious when swallowing saliva, but not when eating dry food. The above feelings often lead to short and frequent coughing, which is more severe in the morning and can easily cause nausea. The above symptoms can be aggravated by excessive use of the voice, sudden changes in climate, breathing dry and cold air, and after smoking and drinking. Examination may reveal chronic congestion of the pharyngeal mucosa, dryness of the posterior pharyngeal wall, or hyperplasia of lymph follicles. 2: Diet therapy for pharyngitis1: Chrysanthemum tea: 30 grams each of fresh chrysanthemum and fresh tea leaves, mixed with 40 ml of water.
