How to treat tinea cruris? The following methods can help you solve the "itch under the crotch"

Tinea cruris is a relatively common skin disease. Tinea cruris refers to a fungal infection on the inner thigh, i.e. the groin, which is often accompanied by itching symptoms. If tinea cruris is not treated promptly, the disease may spread and even invade the entire thigh and torso. So how can tinea cruris be treated?

1. Local treatment

1: The treatment of tinea corporis and tinea cruris is mainly based on external medications, mainly acid drugs. If these drugs also have a keratolytic effect, they can increase the chance of cure, but they also have the disadvantage of local irritation. In recent years, there has been great development in imidazole antifungal drugs, which are a group of drugs with a broad antifungal spectrum and rapid action. The antifungal effect of acrylamide drugs is characterized by a short treatment course, high efficacy and low recurrence rate.

2: 1. Acid drugs such as salicylic acid, benzoic acid, glacial acetic acid (10%), undecylenic acid and peracetic acid (3%) are widely used in clinical practice and should be used with caution on delicate skin. 2. Imidazole drugs such as miconazole nitrate cream (Dakning cream), 1% to 2% ketoconazole cream, 1% bifonazole cream or solution, etc., are applied externally 1 to 2 times a day. Generally, treatment can be cured after 2 to 4 weeks. 3. Apply 1% terbinafine ointment or solution of allylamine drugs twice a day. Continue the treatment for 1 to 2 weeks and the disease will be cured. 4. Use 0.5% amorolfine morpholine cream once a day, and the disease can be cured in about 2 weeks. 5. Other ciclopirox ointments and compound preparations, such as pevisone cream (containing antibacterial agents and hormones), can also be used, especially for patients with obvious inflammation and severe itching

2. Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment

1: This disease is called "ringworm" or "ringworm" in traditional Chinese medicine. Mainly treat with external treatment. 1. Soak 30g of Radix Sophorae Fructus, 30g of Radix Stemonae, 15g of Fructus Cnidium in 240ml of 50% alcohol for 3-7 days, remove the residue, and apply to the affected area 2-3 times a day. 2. Soak 60g of Aucklandia lappa and 240ml of 50% alcohol for 3 to 7 days, remove the residue, and apply to the affected area 2 to 3 times a day.

2: 3. Mash fresh sheep's hoof heel (rhubarb) or grind it into juice with vinegar, apply it to the affected area, 2 to 3 times a day. 4. Apply fresh garlic juice to the affected area 2 to 3 times a day.

III: Systemic treatment

1: For extensive tinea corporis and tinea cruris, oral medications can also be used for treatment, but it is not the first choice of treatment. 1. Take itraconazole (Sporanox) orally at 100 mg/d for 15 consecutive days, or 200 mg/d for 7 consecutive days. Take the medicine with meals to achieve the best bioavailability of itraconazole. 2. Take ketoconazole orally at a dose of 0.2 g/d with meals for 2 to 4 weeks. Its serious liver toxicity and endocrine effects have limited its clinical application and it has been replaced by drugs with less toxicity and better efficacy, such as itraconazole. However, the drug is relatively cheap and can still be used for short-term treatment in economically underdeveloped areas.

2: 3. Griseofulvin for adults: 0.6-0.8 g/d, taken orally in 2-3 doses. Take after meals, the course of treatment is about 4 weeks. Because of its long treatment course and poor efficacy, griseofulvin is rarely used in the clinical treatment of tinea corporis and tinea cruris, and is only used to treat tinea capitis. 4. Take fluconazole once a week, 150 mg each time, for 3 weeks. 5.Terbinafine is taken orally at a dose of 250 mg/day for 2 weeks; or 250 mg/day in the first week, followed by 250 mg every other day, for a total course of 3 weeks.

4: It is relatively difficult to diagnose tinea corporis, but

It does not mean that the disease is difficult to treat. As long as the patient can actively cooperate with the doctor's treatment and follow the doctor's instructions, I believe he will recover soon.
