What causes unexplained purple skin?

What causes unexplained purple skin?

Because we are of the yellow race, our skin color is not as white as that of Europeans and Americans even if we are in good health. This is normal. After all, genes are difficult to change. However, some friends, especially female friends, worry about their skin color, because women consider whiteness as beauty, and if their skin is not very white, they will definitely be unhappy. So, what is the reason for the unexplained purple skin?

1. What is skin bruising? Purpura

Purpura is a condition in which the skin on the hands, feet, or other parts of the body suddenly or inexplicably develops purple.

Common vascular purpura include:

Simple purpura: It is a mild purpura seen in healthy people. It refers to a hemorrhagic disease in which purpura appears spontaneously and repeatedly on the skin, especially on the lower limbs, without other symptoms and can disappear on its own without treatment. It mainly occurs in women, and the prognosis is generally good and does not pose a serious threat to health. If the purpura is mild, no treatment is needed and it can heal on its own. You can also take some vitamin C appropriately.

Thrombocytopenic purpura: It is an immune disease characterized by the presence of anti-platelet antibodies in the blood circulation, which causes excessive platelet destruction and causes purpura; in addition, certain drugs, infectious diseases, blood diseases, etc. can all cause purpura.

Allergic purpura: a capillary allergic disease. Purpura recurs, mostly on the lower limbs and buttocks, with symmetrical distribution and appearing in batches. Purpura is higher than the skin and is often accompanied by allergic rash, joint pain or abdominal pain, fever, infection and general discomfort.

After the appearance of purpura, relevant examinations should be done, such as routine blood tests, platelets, platelet antibodies, clotting time, etc. After the cause is determined, active treatment should be given to the cause.

2. What causes skin bruises: Age-related

As we age, two big things happen to our skin: it gradually loses its protective oil layer, and its structural collagen production slows down. This means the skin will be thinner and more likely to bruise. "This is extremely common in people over 60," the expert said. "Injuries that seemed minor before can easily cause bruises at this age."

3. What causes skin bruises: Is it natural?

If you have fair, thin skin, you are naturally more susceptible to bruising from even the slightest collision. Experts say that skin bruises are not viewed from the same level. Different skin types are prone to bruising to different degrees, and they are not necessarily caused by disease or other reasons.
