What to do if pustules repeatedly appear on the head

Pustules on the head, commonly known as acne on the head, are a common type of seborrheic dermatitis. It usually occurs on the patient's hair follicles. Once a boil appears on the head, there will be an itchy sensation. In some severe cases, acne may appear, which looks disgusting. If it is not treated in time, a boil will form, which will cause greater harm. Therefore, if abscesses unfortunately appear on the head, they must be treated promptly and properly cared for to avoid recurrence.

Generally, acne on the scalp is called seborrheic dermatitis, especially when it grows on the hair follicles of the scalp. When you find acne on your scalp, you will feel constant itching, and there will be things like acne on some parts of the surface. After squeezing them out, yellow-white fat particles will appear, just like the things squeezed out of acne on your face. In severe cases, they will become infected and form pustules.

Acne on the scalp is more complicated to treat and the recovery period is very long because there are many reasons for its formation. It may be due to bacterial or fungal infection, excessive sebum secretion, or dampness and internal heat. This is why acne on the scalp is more stubborn to treat.

1. Oil control treatment. Oil control is very necessary for treating acne on the scalp. Choose a shampoo with oil control effect and clean your hair every time to reduce oil secretion. Once oil secretion is reduced, the chance of getting acne will be very high.

2. Chinese medicine conditioning. Generally, acne on the scalp is caused by excessive accumulation of dampness and toxins in the body, which burst out when reaching a certain amount. Therefore, you can ask a dermatologist to prescribe some corresponding Chinese medicine for reducing heat and detoxification for conditioning. If you don't want to take Chinese medicine, you can try ready-made tablets for reducing heat and detoxifying. They all have certain effects, but they will take a very long time and need to be taken continuously every day.

3. Antipruritic drugs. Because of the itching, we tend to scratch it with our hands, but since there are so many bacteria on our hands, these small pimples are easily infected, so we must take antipruritic drugs to suppress the itching and reduce the chance of pustules forming. Once abscesses are formed and become very obvious and painful, antibiotics are needed for complementary treatment.
