Testicular hydrocele is an infectious disease in men, mainly caused by bacterial infection or damage to the testicles. Testicular hydrocele is very harmful to men and can seriously affect their reproductive function. 1. Hydrocele is not conducive to normal sexual intercourse. Those suffering from diseases such as tuberculosis and orchitis are not conducive to fertility. 2. Hydrocele may affect fertility. The hydrocele around the testicles compresses the testicles, affecting blood circulation and spermatogenesis. If the hydrocele is too large, the penis will be wrapped by the scrotal skin, which is not conducive to normal sexual intercourse. Those suffering from diseases such as tuberculosis and orchitis are not conducive to fertility. 3. The scrotal skin of primary hydrocele is normal, has high tension and is light-transmissive. If the tension of the tunica vaginalis is not great and it is relatively soft, one should consider the possibility of secondary hydrocele and be alert to the presence of lesions in the testicles and epididymis, such as tuberculosis, syphilis, inflammatory lesions, tumors and filariasis. Causes of hydrocele When it comes to testicular hydrocele, many people may not know what it is. Therefore, we do not know what causes testicular hydrocele. But it doesn’t matter, I will introduce it to you below. 1. Tumor Cancers in the testicles, epididymis, tunica vaginalis, spermatic cord, etc. can invade the tunica vaginalis, causing increased secretion and exudation or blocking the lymphatic system, resulting in hydrocele. The incidence of hydrocele in testicular tumors is 2%~5%. 2. Infection It is the most common cause of hydrocele. It is often caused by the invasion of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Gonorrhea and various non-specific bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, etc., causing acute and chronic epididymitis, orchitis, spermatic cord inflammation, and vaginal inflammation. Mumps virus infection can also cause it. Parasitic infections such as filariasis, which are prevalent in tropical areas, can also damage the lymphatic drainage of the tunica vaginalis, spermatic cord, and scrotum, leading to hydrocele. 3. Damage Testicular injury is one of the common causes of hydrocele, and surgical procedures within the scrotum are also one of the current causes of hydrocele. 4. Scrotal lesions Testicular torsion, testicular appendage torsion, varicocele, etc. can also induce hydrocele. |
