What is the cause of otitis media bleeding? It is because of doing this for a long time

The main group of people who suffer from otitis media is children. If special care is not taken when bathing infants, otitis media may occur. However, bleeding from otitis media may be caused by bilateral otitis media.

In addition to otitis media, other ear diseases can also cause pus and bleeding in the ears. For example, patients with external otitis may sometimes have water discharge from the ear canal, and when accompanied by bacterial infection, pus discharge from the ear canal may also occur. In addition, tympanitis, tympanic membrane perforation, tympanic membrane rupture, and otitis interna can all cause symptoms of ear pus and ear bleeding. The specific cause of the disease can only be determined after examination in the hospital.

Ear bleeding often occurs when the eardrum is perforated or the base of the skull is fractured. The eardrum is a thin membrane with a certain toughness, located deep in the external auditory canal, and is an important component of the human sound conduction system. The eardrum is susceptible to rupture from direct injury or indirect impact. Direct injuries often occur when tweezers, hairpins or matchsticks are inserted too deep into the external auditory canal when cleaning the ears or removing foreign objects, causing the eardrum to be punctured. Or the eardrum may be damaged by blasting impact, certain strenuous exercises, etc. It is also possible that the ear canal is scratched and causes bleeding.

There are three symptoms of ear discharge and ear bleeding according to the nature of the discharged fluid:

1. Grease-like. Greasy earwax, commonly known as oily ears.

2. Watery. The discharge from ear canal eczema is yellow, the ruptured myringitis with large scars presents bloody water, simple otitis media is mostly sticky pus with a fishy smell, and cholesteatoma otitis media presents smelly pus.

3. Purulent and bloody. There are smelly pus and blood from middle ear cancer, bloody pus from granulomatous otitis media, and fresh blood discharge caused by trauma.
