Self-massage treatment for rhinitis

Self-massage treatment for rhinitis

Rhinitis causes great pain to many patients. If you want to effectively treat rhinitis, some self-massage methods in life can actually achieve the desired effect. For example, massaging the back or kneading the sides of the nose can all have a therapeutic effect.

1. Rub your back

Use your palms to rub and massage the upper back back until you feel the skin is warm.

The above massage techniques should be performed once a day, and 10 times constitute a course of treatment.

2. Knead the nose

Use your fingers to repeatedly knead the nose from top to bottom on both sides for 5 minutes, then gently press Yingxiang (in the nasolabial groove, at the midpoint of the outer edge of the nose) and Shangyingxiang (at the end of the upper end of the nasolabial groove) for 1 minute each.

3. Lift the shoulders and neck

Use your palms to pinch the Du meridian acupoint in the middle of the back of the neck, as well as the acupoints on both sides of the midline of the back, from top to bottom, repeat 4-6 times. Then lift from the neck to the shoulders on both sides. Rub the Jian Jing point (cross your hands on your shoulders, just below the tip of your middle finger) for 3 minutes, and press and rub the Fei Shu point (1.5 inches lateral to the spinous process of the 3rd thoracic vertebra) for 1 minute.

4. Push and press acupoints

Use your thumbs alternately to push Yin Tang (between the eyebrows) 50 times, use the thenar of the hand to push from the forehead to the temples on both sides (the midpoint of the line connecting the outer corner of the eye and the tip of the eyebrow) for 1 minute, massage Zhongfu (6 inches away from the midline of the chest, at the level of the first intercostal space), Chize (on the transverse line of the elbow, on the radial side of the biceps tendon), Hegu (between the first and second metacarpal bones, at the midpoint of the second metacarpal bone) of the hand Taiyin lung meridian for 1 minute each, finally massage Fengchi (in the depression at the intersection of the sternocleidomastoid muscle and trapezius muscle at the back of the neck) for 1 minute.
