Early symptoms of varicose veins, early detection and early treatment

Varicose veins, also known as fried legs, are a manifestation of blood vessels protruding to the surface of the skin. Generally, varicose veins appear in the lower limbs. There are different degrees of varicose veins. In the early stages, the blood vessels will protrude significantly and must be treated in a timely manner.

1. In stage I varicose veins, the surface blood vessels are distended like earthworms, obviously protruding from the skin. The varicose veins are in clusters or nodules, with dilated capillaries, reticular veins, and ankle flushing.

2. Varicose veins stage II

When standing, curved and thickened superficial veins can be seen in the legs, which are higher than the skin. They may disappear after the legs are raised or lying flat. There are often discomforts such as calf soreness and fatigue. This period is the best time for treatment.

3. Varicose veins stage III

As the number of varicose vessels increases, edema begins to appear in the calves, which is more obvious after standing for a long time or being tired. The edema will disappear when you wake up in the morning. The affected limb is often thicker than the other leg. Some people also experience skin itching. In severe cases, skin lesions such as eczema and congestive dermatitis may occur.

4. Varicose veins stage IV

Excessive blood stasis in the blood vessels significantly increases venous pressure, causing some blood components to penetrate into the skin and subcutaneous tissue outside the blood vessels, causing local skin to turn red, purple, and even black (iron deposition in the blood), and lose elasticity and become hard.

5. Varicose veins in stage V have developed into acute ulcer stage. The blackened and hardened skin breaks down under the action of external force. It is difficult to cure it using ordinary methods, which seriously affects work and life.

6. Varicose veins stage VI In the late stage of varicose veins, or repeated attacks of venous ulcers that are not properly treated, ecthyma legs are formed, which are often found near the ankle joint and lower calf, commonly known as "old rotten legs".
