The full name of vasculitis in medicine is thromboangiitis obliterans. It is a chronic disease. Patients will experience symptoms such as pain and intermittent claudication. If the disease develops seriously, it may cause acral ulcers and necrosis. Therefore, patients must seek timely treatment to avoid serious development of the disease. The early stage of the disease usually has the following manifestations: 1. This disease is more common in young and middle-aged men. The disease is closely related to smoking. The disease has certain geographical distribution characteristics. The incidence rate is higher in residents in cold and humid areas. Increased blood viscosity is also an element that induces the disease. 2. The affected limb is numb, cold, afraid of cold, and heavy. There is needle-like pain in the toes, spasmodic pain in the calf muscles, intermittent claudication, weak or absent arterial pulse in the affected limb, and migratory superficial phlebitis. The systemic symptoms are not significant. 3. The affected limb becomes numb, cold, afraid of cold, intermittent claudication worsens, and there is resting pain. The skin of the affected limb is often flushed, purple or pale, the skin of the foot is dry and peeling, the toenails grow slowly, become thickened and deformed, the hair falls out, the calf muscles atrophy, and the arterial pulsation of the affected limb disappears. May cause emotional distress, dizziness, back pain, and loose muscles and bones. 4. Due to severe blood circulation disorders, the affected limbs develop ulcers or necrosis, most of which are confined to the toes or feet, and it is rare for them to spread upward to the ankle joints and calves. The pain is severe and unbearable. Patients often sit with their knees hugged, beat their chests and stamp their feet, wailing loudly, and feeling extremely painful. After a gangrenous toe falls off, it often leaves behind ulcers that take a long time to heal. The whole body is often accompanied by symptoms such as fever, dry mouth, loss of appetite, insomnia, constipation, and yellow and red urine. 5. Initial stage It is the initial stage of the disease. The main symptoms are numbness, coldness, fear of cold, soreness, fatigue, heaviness and mild intermittent claudication of the affected limb. The latter is a typical phenomenon in Tibet. After the patient walks 1-2 miles, he or she will experience swelling or cramping in the calf or foot muscles. If he or she continues walking, the pain will worsen and he or she will eventually be forced to stop. The pain was relieved immediately after rest. Symptoms reappear after walking again, which is called intermittent claudication. As the disease progresses, the walking distance gradually decreases. This is due to the increased oxygen demand of muscles after walking. Examination of the affected limb revealed lower skin temperature, paler skin color, and weakened pulses of the dorsalis pedis artery and/or the posterior tibial artery. Migratory thrombophlebitis is common. |
