What are the acupoints for soothing the liver and regulating qi?

In traditional Chinese medicine, liver acupoints are believed to be vital to the functioning of the body, so massaging certain acupoints often has a therapeutic effect. The liver is also a very important organ in our body. So what are the acupoints for soothing the liver and regulating qi?

Breathing relaxation method: overlap your palms, place them on the Tanzhong point between your breasts, and rub them up and down 30 times. It can regulate Qi, stimulate the thymus gland and enhance the immune mechanism.

Broad chest method: Sit down, place the empty palm of your right hand on top of your right breast, pat it with appropriate force and gradually move horizontally to the other side, back and forth 10 times. Cross your palms and place them on your breasts, rub them horizontally 20 times. Place the base of your palms under your armpits, and rub back and forth from the upper waist down to the ilium until it becomes warm. It can expand the chest, regulate qi, and unblock the qi flow.

To loosen the intercostal space: Sit down and place both palms horizontally under the armpits with fingers spread out, with the distance between fingers equal to the width of the gap between the ribs. First, push the right palm to the left to the sternum, and then push the left palm to the right to the sternum. From top to bottom, push alternately to the horizontal line of the navel. Repeat 10 times. Note that your fingers should be close to the ribs and the force should be even, until you feel warmth in the chest and ribs. It can regulate qi and relieve liver.

Hold the waist muscles: Sit down, place the base of your hands on the waist muscles on both sides, and pinch the waist muscles from top to bottom to the iliac area, repeating the operation 10 times.

Rub the side abdomen: Sit or lie on your back, place your palms under the ribs, and push and rub the lower abdomen diagonally towards the pubic bone, repeating this operation 20 times. It can strengthen the spleen and regulate qi.

To regulate the triple energizer: Sit or lie on your back, cross the four fingers of both hands, place them horizontally on the Tanzhong point, press the base of both palms on the inner side of both breasts, and push from top to bottom with a little force to the groin, and push 20 times in total. It can clear the triple burner, regulate qi and nourish the liver.

Press Yangling: Sit down and place the thumbs of both hands on the Yanglingquan points on both sides (located below the knee, in the depression slightly in front of the head of the fibula on the outer side of the calf), and use the other four fingers to assist. Press and rub the points for 1 minute first, then forcefully pluck the tendons at the points horizontally 3 to 5 times, until a tingling sensation is felt. It can soothe the liver and gallbladder, and regulate the meridian qi.
