How to eat Korean ginseng

How to eat Korean ginseng

Korean ginseng is a type of ginseng. It has a good tonic effect. In addition, Korean ginseng can enhance immunity, quench thirst, promote salivation, and strengthen the body. However, Korean ginseng also has a particular way of eating. Let us introduce it below.

Decoction

Wash the whole ginseng or the sliced ginseng and put it into a ceramic container. First add some clean water and soak it for about 20 minutes. Then add clean water (the amount should be slightly higher than the ginseng). Then cover it with a lid and simmer it over fire for about 1 hour. Pour out the ginseng juice and drink it when it is warm. This method of taking the medicine has a high concentration of active ingredients in the juice, so the tonic effect is stronger and takes effect faster. It is suitable for those who have just recovered from a serious illness, whose evil spirits have been eliminated, whose deficiency symptoms are severe, and who need to be urgently nourished and recuperated. However, this method is wasteful of medicinal materials, so it is not suitable for those high-quality and expensive ginsengs.

Steaming

Slice or cut the ginseng into sections, put them into a porcelain stewing pot, add half a bowl of water, then cover it with a lid, put it into a pot with cold water, and steam it over medium heat for about 1 hour (be careful not to boil the water dry), and drink it when it is warm. This method is similar to the characteristics of decocting a soup. Generally, it can be steamed and boiled repeatedly for 3-5 times until the medicinal juice is extremely light. In addition, another major advantage of the steaming method is its flexibility, that is, you can add some tonic foods while steaming the ginseng soup, so that they can complement each other and make the tonic effect better. As for what kind of food to choose, it can be determined according to each person's preference. For example, you can add red dates, black dates, longan, rock sugar, wolfberry, lily, etc.

Slice for tea

Cut the ginseng into thin slices, take about 3 grams each time (about 5-10 slices), and put it in a cup (it is best to use a thermos cup in winter). Then pour in boiling water, cover it for about half an hour, and drink it as tea. You can brew it repeatedly until the ginseng tea becomes tasteless, and then chew the residue. This method of taking the medicine is more convenient than the above two methods, and there will be no waste of medicinal materials. It can be taken at any time and is not limited by the occasion. This method is most suitable for ordinary people to use for a long time.

Slice and take orally

Cut the ginseng into thin slices, take 1-2 slices each time, put them in your mouth and hold them until the taste becomes light or tasteless, then chew and swallow the ginseng slices. This method is more convenient than making tea with slices. It can be used almost anytime and anywhere, and it eliminates the troublesome procedures. This method of taking is also suitable for generally healthy people who need to supplement their bodies.

Grind into powder and swallow

Grind the ginseng into powder and take it with boiled water, 3 grams each time, 3 times a day, or put the ginseng powder into empty capsules, 2 capsules each time, 3 times a day. This method is generally suitable for taking more precious ginseng varieties, such as wild ginseng, so that the ginseng can be fully utilized without any waste.
