Yin and Yang is a term used in traditional Chinese medicine. It is believed that a healthy person is in a state of balanced Yin and Yang and harmonious Five Elements. When Yin and Yang and Five Elements are disordered, diseases will occur. Although it sounds mysterious, traditional Chinese medicine practitioners throughout the ages have treated diseases based on this and have formed a complete set of theoretical knowledge. So what should we do when Yin and Yang are out of balance? Let me give you a detailed introduction below. Overview Imbalance of yin and yang refers to both symptoms and pathogenesis. A general term for the imbalance of yin and yang in the body. It is a pathological change in which the Yin cannot control the Yang and vice versa, due to the action of pathogens during the course of the disease. The imbalance of yin and yang is a summary of the imbalance in the relationships among the internal organs, meridians, qi and blood, as well as the abnormal movement of qi, such as entering and exiting inside and outside, and rising and falling. It includes the excess of yin and yang, the decline of yin and yang, the mutual damage of yin and yang, the rejection of yin and yang, the loss of yin and yang, and the separation of yin and yang. When one of the Yin-cold or Yang-heat is excessive or blocked, the Yin and Yang Qi in the body cannot connect and maintain each other, leading to pathological changes of mutual repulsion and rejection. This is a relatively special and rare pathological mechanism in the pathogenesis of Yin and Yang imbalance. Yang Sheng Ge Yin refers to a pathological state of true heat and false cold caused by the extreme prevalence of Yang heat evil, which is deeply hidden and blocked inside. This causes the Yang Qi to be blocked and trapped inside, unable to penetrate outside and reach the body surface, causing the limbs to lose warmth. It is mostly caused by excessive pathogenic heat and extreme yang heat, and is common in the extreme stage of exogenous febrile disease. Yin Sheng Ge Yang refers to the pathological state of true cold and false heat formed because the Yin and cold evil is extremely strong inside the body, forcing the exhausted Yang Qi to float outside, causing Yin and Yang to be unable to maintain each other. It is mostly due to congenital yang deficiency or long-term illness which leads to yang decline, resulting in deficiency of fire in the gate of life, and the excess of yin and cold evil entrenched inside the body, causing a disparity in the strength of yin and yang, and suppressing yang outside. Treat according to syndrome differentiation The imbalance of yin and yang will have different manifestations, development trends, and disease pathogenesis under different causes, different symptoms, different individuals, different internal and external environments, and even different treatments by different doctors. Treatment should be based on the person, location and disease. |
