Why does skin allergies occur when the seasons change?

The changing of seasons is a normal phenomenon of nature, and each season has its own characteristics. For example, spring can be described in one word as warm weather and blooming flowers, while winter is described as freezing cold, which is very difficult to bear. In life, some people are most afraid of the change of seasons because their skin will show allergic symptoms when the seasons change. So, why does skin allergy occur during seasonal changes?

Seasonal skin allergy is an allergic reaction, which is an abnormal reaction of the body to one or more substances. The main cause is that the allergic patient produces too much of a special antibody in the body, which can react with allergens in the environment, stimulate the body to produce and release certain excess chemicals, and then produce various symptoms. Medically, allergies are divided into four different types and named with Roman numerals I to IV. The most common of these are types I and IV. Type I is sometimes called "atopic" or "rapid allergy."

Overview

Seasonal skin allergies refer to the phenomenon that many people often experience skin allergies when the climate changes, the temperature difference is large, or the season is warm and humid. Due to various environmental factors, allergenic substances such as bacterial spores and pollen dispersed in the air will release a large amount of histamine, a compound that is distributed almost throughout all tissues of the human body, causing nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, itchy throat, swollen eyelids and other phenomena. It causes people to experience allergic symptoms such as severe itching of the skin, rashes and scales, peeling, redness and white spots on the face, and mottled colors.

In contrast, type IV allergies react much more slowly, with symptoms not appearing until a day or several days later. For example, allergies to decorative objects and many types of occupational allergies. Therefore, people call it "delayed allergy".
