Onychomycosis is a fungal disease. Once discovered, it must be treated actively, otherwise it will spread to other nails. Most of the time, onychomycosis is not easy to cure completely. Onychomycosis can be treated with glacial acetic acid, and a course of 7 days is very effective. 1. Glacial acetic acid treatment of onychomycosis Glacial acetic acid is the main ingredient of vinegar, which has existed throughout almost the entire history of human civilization. Acetic acid fermenting bacteria (Acetobacter) can be found in every corner of the world, and every nation making wine inevitably encounters vinegar - it is the natural product of these alcoholic beverages when exposed to air. For example, in China, there is a saying that Du Kang's son Heita got vinegar because he took too long to brew wine. The ancient Romans boiled sour wine in lead containers to produce a highly sweet syrup called "sapa". "Sapa" is rich in a sweet lead sugar, lead acetate. In the 8th century AD, the Persian alchemist Jabir used distillation to concentrate the acetic acid in vinegar. During the Renaissance, acetic acid was produced by metal distillation. This glacial acetic acid and acetic acid extraction method were produced by German alchemists in the 16th century. The presence of water changes the properties of acetic acid so much that for centuries chemists believed they were two completely different substances. It wasn't until French chemists proved that the main components of the two substances were the same. 1. First, you need to trim the affected nails, that is, use a sharp knife to trim the hardened and thickened nails, remove part of the damaged nail surface, and leave the nail bed. After the repair is completed, apply the prepared glacial acetic acid. (Note: The best mixing ratio of glacial acetic acid is 7 to 3. If it is too concentrated, it will damage the skin, and if it is too diluted, the effect will be poor.) Apply two to three times a day. 2. Damaged nails should be trimmed about once every seven days. Try to keep the nail bed intact during manicure. In this way, the treatment time of onychomycosis is generally about three months, and the nails can be completely restored to normal. 2. How to treat onychomycosis with glacial acetic acid Cotton sticky glacial acetic acid Soak the diseased nail in warm water for 5 minutes to soften it, cut or scrape off the diseased nail that can be removed with scissors, wet glacial acetic acid with dehydrated cotton, and then apply it to the nail, trying not to touch the skin, and then wrap it with plastic paper or thin food film. Wait until the glacial acetic acid corrodes the skin around the nail and stop when it feels very painful to prevent corrosion by glacial acetic acid. You can also use a small sharp knife to scrape off brittle diseased nails, or thin and thicken diseased nails, remove part of the damaged nail surface, retain the nail bed, then apply 30% glacial acetic acid solution, wrap it with gauze, 2-3 times a day. Kind tips Damaged nails should generally be trimmed once every seven days or so, and the nail bed should be kept intact as much as possible. Normal nails can be restored after about three months of treatment. |
