What is the function of Artemisia capillaris?

The aqueous extract can inhibit the activity of intestinal muscles in dogs in situ and rabbits in vitro. Volatile oils can reduce the activity and tension of isolated intestines of frogs and rabbits. The refined extract has a stimulating effect on the isolated uterus of non-pregnant rabbits and postpartum guinea pigs. The excitatory effect on the uterus of non-pregnant guinea pigs can be antagonized by diphenhydramine.
