Why does my hand hurt?

Why does my hand hurt?

Our hands are one of the important organs that make up the human body. Sometimes some phenomena of the hands can tell us whether there is any disease in the body. They act as an alarm and are a good helper for predicting health. Only when the temperature of the hands is appropriate can it mean that the human body is healthy. If it is too cold or too hot, it means that the person is sick and should go to the hospital for examination in time. In our daily life, we should also pay attention to our diet, eat more light food and drink more water.

What causes burning pain in hands?

1. Tuberculosis: It is the most common cause of hot palms, especially in young people, accompanied by night sweats, fatigue, cough, mental depression, etc. A chest X-ray or laboratory test can usually reveal the presence of lesions.

2. Chronic pyelonephritis: Most young and middle-aged women in the chronic active stage generally have persistent or intermittent hot palms, or accompanied by fever all over the body. Carefully recall the symptoms you had at that time or in the past, such as low back pain, fatigue, frequent urination, urgency, and pain when urinating, and urine tests revealed abnormalities.

3. Liver disease: viral hepatitis (hepatitis B, etc.), cirrhosis, chronic biliary tract infection, etc. may all cause hot palms. These diseases are generally accompanied by loss of appetite, weight loss, fatigue, abdominal distension, dull pain in the liver area, insomnia, etc. Liver function or hepatitis immunology tests can usually detect the disease.

4. Connective tissue diseases: Although rheumatic fever, systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, etc. can cause hot palms, the incidence rate is not high and is generally accompanied by obvious systemic fever symptoms.

5. If you experience unexplained hot palms, do not treat it yourself or buy medicine to take. Some symptoms may seem trivial, but the consequences may be serious. Therefore, you should go to the hospital to see a doctor in time to diagnose the disease and receive symptomatic treatment.

What to do if your palms are hot

1. Hot palms due to Yin deficiency

It is more common in kidney yin deficiency, or liver and kidney yin deficiency. Symptoms include soreness in the waist and knees, hot hands and feet, dry throat and mouth, red tongue with little fluid, and in severe cases, sexual dysfunction may occur. Such patients can choose yin-nourishing and heat-clearing medicines such as Zhibai Dihuang Pills and Liuwei Dihuang Pills.

2. Hot palms caused by blood deficiency

It is more common in young women and is often accompanied by dysmenorrhea. The most typical symptom is hot palms in summer and cold hands and feet in winter. Such patients can usually take medicines such as Danggui Buxue Wan to nourish qi and blood, or use 6g of Danggui and 30g of Astragalus to make soup.

3. Hot palms caused by malnutrition and spleen deficiency

It is more common in children. Due to weak spleen and stomach and irregular diet, the spleen and stomach function of children is abnormal, resulting in digestive dysfunction and food accumulation disease. The symptoms are often loss of appetite, flushed cheeks, hot palms and soles, abdominal distension and belching. If a child has hot palms and soles, neither the yin-nourishing method nor the blood-nourishing method can be used. Instead, the treatment method should be to strengthen the spleen and eliminate accumulation, or to use spinal massage therapy to relieve the condition.

Precautions

People with hot palms should not get angry in life and should avoid spicy food, because "excess qi is fire", and the heat of fire damages the yin blood, which will cause hot palms. Spicy food can also easily damage the yin blood, and if the yin cannot control the yang, the palms will be hot. Children should pay attention to eating in moderation and eat more easily digestible foods.
