Hyperthyroidism is a common sexual disease in modern life. It not only affects human health, but also causes the body to become increasingly thin. In severe cases, it can cause some complications, which are very harmful to the body. There are many reasons for hyperthyroidism, generally due to excessive iodine in the body or genetic factors. Traditional Chinese medicine is not recommended as the main treatment method. Controlling hyperthyroidism is still the field of Western medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine can be used as an auxiliary treatment to regulate the body and enhance immunity. The factors that induce hyperthyroidism can be roughly divided into the following aspects: (1) Genetic factors. Clinically, it is seen that there are multiple patients with hyperthyroidism in a family. If a mother has hyperthyroidism, her children will also suffer from hyperthyroidism after puberty or adulthood, and sometimes even several sisters will suffer from hyperthyroidism one after another. However, most hyperthyroidism is not hereditary. Even if parents have hyperthyroidism, their children may not also develop hyperthyroidism. (2) Autoimmune dysfunction. Current medical opinion holds that most cases of hyperthyroidism are caused by a disorder in the patient's own immune system. Originally, everyone's immune system is designed to defend against the invasion of pathogenic microorganisms, monitor the metabolism of one's own tissue cells, and ensure internal stability of the body. However, the immune system sometimes gets out of control, failing to distinguish between friend and foe, and regarding normal tissue cells as alien, thus launching a self-attack, leading to "autoimmune dysfunction." Hyperthyroidism is one of the consequences of dysfunction of the human immune system. (3) Infection. Some patients' thyroid glands are damaged after being infected or infected by viruses, causing the thyroid gland to release too much thyroid hormone, resulting in transient hyperthyroidism. Most of these patients can recover on their own (some can be relieved after treatment with some hormones. However, for some patients, after their thyroid glands are infected and inflamed, it will induce dysfunction of their own immune system, and they will produce anti-thyroid antibodies in their own bodies, causing chronic hyperthyroidism or other chronic thyroid diseases. (4) Mental factors. Many patients with hyperthyroidism have experienced mental stimulation before the onset of the disease. Mental stress can cause hyperthyroidism to occur or worsen. Of course, not everyone will develop hyperthyroidism under mental stress, but if there is a thyroid defect (such as a genetic background of thyroid disease), hyperthyroidism may occur once there is excessive mental stress. |
