Can hepatic hemangioma heal on its own?

Can hepatic hemangioma heal on its own?

Hepatic hemangioma refers to hepatic cavernous hemangioma. Although this disease is a benign tumor, it cannot be ignored and must not be left unchecked because it will not heal on its own. Once these symptoms are discovered, medical treatment must be sought promptly.

1. Hepatic hemangioma, mainly refers to hepatic cavernous hemangioma. This disease is mainly caused by abnormal vascular development during embryonic development. It is the most common benign liver tumor, accounting for about 42-45% of benign liver tumors. This disease can occur at any age, but symptoms often appear after middle age, and there is no obvious difference in the incidence between men and women.

2. It is generally believed that the occurrence of this disease is related to endocrine factors. Since hepatic hemangioma is one of the common benign liver tumors, there are two situations in its growth in the human body: most of them grow slowly, and even stop growing at a certain size. Clinically, those with a single diameter of less than 5 cm generally do not cause any harm to the body as long as they stop growing.

3. Clinically, treatment is generally not recommended for small hepatic hemangiomas that do not cause any discomfort, but in daily life, you must be careful not to engage in strenuous exercise to avoid violent collisions with the liver. Only a small number of hepatic hemangiomas grow suddenly in a certain age group. As the hemangioma grows, it compresses the liver and other organs, causing clinical symptoms. In this case, treatment is necessary.
