What causes chest bone pain? There are these reasons

Bones are a mixture of living cells and minerals. The functions of bones in the human body are different, so you should pay attention to treatment when you have bone pain. Chest bone pain is a common problem with many causes. You should also pay attention to whether it is related to malnutrition.

1. Costochondritis, also known as anterior chest wall syndrome, is a common cause of anterior chest pain. Because the pain is located in the anterior chest, it is easily confused with angina pectoris. Patients often mistakenly think that they have coronary heart disease. The cause is generally related to trauma. When people carry heavy objects, twist sharply or squeeze the chest, the costochondrial joint cartilage is acutely damaged, or due to chronic strain or viral infection caused by colds, the costochondrial joint surface cartilage edema, thickening of the aseptic inflammatory reaction and the disease occurs.

2. It may also be related to costal cartilage malnutrition, sternal costal joint inflammation, and myofasciitis. Its clinical manifestations are pain in the anterior chest, which is mostly sore and swollen, with sudden or slow onset, sometimes mild and sometimes severe. It may be aggravated by turning over, coughing, deep breathing, and upper limb activities, and sometimes radiate to the upper limbs. Tenderness over the 2-5 costal cartilages may tend to recur if not treated promptly and thoroughly. In clinical practice, it should be distinguished from diseases such as coronary heart disease, angina pectoris, tuberculosis pleurisy, etc. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the pain of costochondritis that spreads to the chest, flanks, and upper arms is caused by qi stagnation; local bulges, obvious tenderness, and fixed pain points are caused by blood stasis. Stagnation of Qi and blood stasis, wind-heat invading the meridians, toxic heat and fierce competition, Qi and blood are blocked and cannot flow. Pain occurs when Qi and blood are blocked.

3. Rapid twisting and bumping. If our chest is twisted for some specific reason and the sternocostal soft joints in front of the chest are twisted, it will cause severe chest pain. Or bumps and collisions may also cause damage to the sternocostal soft joints. The function of this rib joint is to protect our chest and the lungs inside. This shows that bone pain occurs when the rib soft joints are damaged.
