What are the causes of infertility?

When it comes to the topic of infertility, many families are very sad, because infertility may mean that they will be unable to have children for life, and may even cause some sequelae. Therefore, everyone should pay attention to the fact that infertility may be caused by blockage of the fallopian tubes or abnormal excretion of eggs, including unhealthy male sperm.

The causes of infertility are usually the following four aspects: 1. Female reasons; 2. Male reasons; 3. Common reasons for both men and women; 4. Unknown reasons

1. Female reasons

(1) Fallopian tube factors: The fallopian tube is damaged or blocked, which prevents the egg and sperm from meeting.

(2) Ovarian factors: abnormal ovulation or various ovarian tumors.

(3) Cervical factors: poor cervical development and glandular secretion or various cervical inflammations and tumors.

(4) Uterine factors: congenital dysplasia, malformation, uterine tumors and endometriosis.

(5) Endometrial hyperplasia, endometrial inflammation and submucosal tumors.

2. The main causes of male infertility are:

(1) Insufficient sperm count: A normal man can produce at least 20 million sperm per milliliter of semen. If there are less than 20 million sperm, it is considered insufficient.

(2) Insufficient sperm motility: Less than 25% of sperm move forward rapidly.

(3) Poor sperm morphology: more than 70% of sperm are abnormal.

(4) Azoospermia or complete lack of sperm: testicular failure, vas deferens obstruction, and bilateral absence of the vas deferens.

(5) Sexual dysfunction: ejaculation disorder or impotence.

(6) Necrospermia, retrograde ejaculation and hematospermia.

(7) Abnormal endocrine function.
