What are the symptoms of femoral neck necrosis?

What are the symptoms of femoral neck necrosis?

The most obvious symptom of femoral neck necrosis is pain in the side buttocks, groin, waist, and stomach. Some patients may also experience chills, weakness, soreness, and numbness in the lower limbs. In severe cases, it may hinder walking and movement. Therefore, patients should pay attention to scientific treatment, nutritional supplements, and proper exercise is also indispensable.

1. Early symptoms of femoral neck necrosis

The main symptoms are pain in the lateral buttocks, groin or waist, pulling pain in the knee joint, chills, weakness, soreness and numbness in the lower limbs. These symptoms do not necessarily appear at the same time. You may only have one or two symptoms. These symptoms may persist or disappear in a short period of time.

2. Mid-stage symptoms of femoral neck necrosis

The main symptoms include limp, pain in walking, abduction, adduction and functional disorders of the hip joint. When taking X-rays, you will see sclerotic bone formation, cystic changes, partial disappearance of trabeculae, and collapse and fracture of the femoral head cartilage.

3. Late symptoms of femoral neck necrosis

Patients with femoral head necrosis have more severe limping, difficulty walking, pain, obvious atrophy of the lower limb muscles, lower limb weakness, chills, difficulty squatting, and difficulty abduction and adduction. At this time, X-rays will show that the femoral head is flat, the joint space is narrow or disappeared, there are obvious cystic changes, a large area of sclerotic bone, complete rupture of the femoral head cartilage, and uneven joint surface. This is the late stage of femoral head necrosis.

As for femoral head necrosis, most patients suffer from secondary necrosis, which is caused by the failure to receive scientific treatment, reasonable nutritional intake, and active and appropriate exercise for femoral head fracture. The best way to deal with this disease is early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment.
