Atrial fibrillation daily precautions, four aspects need to be paid attention to

Patients with atrial fibrillation should pay special attention to their daily lives, because atrial fibrillation is very likely to recur. Paying more attention to diet and emotions can better avoid the onset of atrial fibrillation. Do not eat high-fat foods and maintain an optimistic and cheerful mood.

1. Diet:

Do not eat high-fat, high-cholesterol foods, such as animal offal, animal oil, fatty meat, egg yolks, crabs, fish roe, etc. Avoid foods that stimulate the heart and blood vessels, such as tobacco, alcohol, strong tea, coffee and spicy condiments. Being too hungry or too full will increase the burden on the heart and aggravate existing arrhythmias. Eat less salt, especially for patients with edema.

Eat foods rich in vitamins B, C, calcium and phosphorus to maintain myocardial nutrition and lipid metabolism. You should eat more fresh vegetables and fruits to provide vitamins and inorganic salts, and also prevent dry stools (straining to defecate can increase the chance of blood clots falling off).

2. Emotions are important:

Be open-minded, relaxed, calm and stable. Excessive tension is especially likely to induce arrhythmia. It is not advisable to go to bed late, not to be overly excited before going to bed, and to slow down the pace of life.

3. Pay attention to fitness :

You can engage in some whole-body activities that are relaxing and enjoyable without increasing the burden on your heart, such as ballroom dancing, radio gymnastics, Tai Chi, raising fish, planting flowers, taking walks, doing health exercises, and practicing Qigong. Adjust your daily routine according to seasonal and climate changes to prevent colds and avoid worsening of your condition. Patients with blood clots should be careful to avoid sudden, forceful, and violent coughing to reduce the chance of blood clots falling off.

4. Learn to self-monitor:

Count your pulse and heart rate frequently to monitor changes in your condition. The standard ventricular rate control for atrial fibrillation is 60-80 beats/minute at rest and 90-115 beats/minute during exercise. Check electrocardiogram regularly to identify arrhythmias. Patients with atrial fibrillation often have precursors (prodromal symptoms), such as palpitations and increased "missing pulses" when feeling the pulse. At this time, they should seek medical attention in time to prevent the disease from happening.

Atrial fibrillation often occurs in patients with organic heart disease and is a common arrhythmia among adults. When atrial fibrillation occurs, the cause must be identified early and treated actively. Examination of atrial fibrillation may show signs suggesting atrial fibrillation. Electrocardiogram has diagnostic value, and cardiac ultrasound is helpful in identifying the cause and understanding the prognosis. Pay attention to precautions in daily life and seek medical attention in time if there are any abnormalities.
