What ointment to use for vulvar itching and swelling

The vulva is prone to itching and redness and swelling, which is mainly caused by inflammatory stimulation. At this time, you can use warm water to add a small amount of salt to wash it to achieve the anti-inflammatory and bactericidal effect. In daily life, you must pay attention to the cleanliness of the private parts, and the clothes you wear must be loose. For more serious cases, antibiotics can be used for treatment. If the symptoms are not relieved, you must go to the hospital for routine leucorrhea testing in time.

Treatment of vulvar itching:

Many women think they are very smart and secretly use some lotions or medicines, thinking that this can relieve the itching. However, they do not know that there are many causes of vulvar itching. Some drugs will change the acidity and alkalinity of secretions and the number of other normal bacteria in the vagina, causing fungi to grow and multiply rapidly and cause severe exogenous itching, which often only backfires.

For vulvar itching in patients infected with Trichomonas vaginalis, 1% lactic acid can be used for vaginal flushing, and Baofukang suppositories can be taken orally or inserted into the vagina for treatment; or the Chinese medicine Cnidium monnieri, Sophora flavescens, Alum, Phellodendron chinense, Zanthoxylum bungeanum, and Stemona japonica decoction can be used for fumigation and washing.

Medication for vaginal itching in patients with fungal infection:

You can use 2% soda water to rinse the vulva and vagina, and insert Baofukang suppository or nystatin into the vagina. People infected with pinworms can inject pinworm cream into the anus and apply realgar powder to the skin around the anus to kill the pinworms. Vulvar itching caused by scabies should be treated by applying 10%-20% sulfur ointment, scabies cream, Ulcerative Colloidal Ointment or other drugs to the lesions.

The general treatment for vulvar itching is to pay attention to menstrual hygiene, keep the vulva clean and dry, and avoid scratching. Do not wash with hot water and avoid using soap. When there is an infection, potassium permanganate solution can be used for a sitz bath, but local scrubbing is strictly prohibited. Clothes, especially underwear, should be loose and breathable. Avoid alcohol and spicy or allergenic foods.

When treating vulvar itching, it is necessary to focus on the woman's own condition, especially some infected viruses, and use some cleaning fluid to clean it. When women have vulvar itching, they must pay attention to personal hygiene, and usually use hot water to clean it, and pay attention to prevent many infection factors.
